What isn't a feminist issue?

Inspired a bit by another thread but it seems like a frequent occurence that non feminists say that feminists say everything is a feminist issue.

Since I 'took the red pill'/whatever I do see everything as a feminist issue so I'm perplexed at what these non-feminist issues are?

It seems to me that one of the first things you realise as a feminist is how all pervasive patriarchy is.

I don't think anything's exempt from it.

How many women have been inside a barber? Having recently taken my children to the barber for the first time I realise men "pamper" - they just don't admit to doing it. "Pampering" definitely not a feminist issue (anymore).

Okay I give in, everything is a feminist issue

ROFL, my DH has baths all the time, and most definitely pampers. Plus he likes lamps.

I suspect Candy Crush is a feminist issue because it makes a lot of men very rich. How many women work for that organisation?

Yeah, love Burchill on pampering. A moment of rare coherence

Julie is like a broken clock - she will be right twice a day ( well not that often but occasionally) She was spot on about the fawning over John Peel.

Was it Julie Burchill who wrote an article on how stupid is the idea that having a bath is pampering?

Yeah, love Burchill on pampering. A moment of rare coherence.

I have to disagree with baths, I once mentioned on here that my DH was having a bath and a poster absolutely flamed him for being too feminine, not a 'real man' and told me he was gay and I'm just his beard so I should LTB before he left me for a bloke.

why it is that some seeds only germinate when you give up on them in disgust and abandon them in the corner of the garden only to find them a month later looking like baby triffids

Except the heteronormative pair bonding for life in penguins has been anthropomorphised and used by prejudiced folks as reasons for why single mothers are bad. I think.

StillLostAtTheStation · 18/04/2015 18:13

"Pampering" is it a real word?

You know how sometimes even very ordinary words can become surreal if you think about them too long but "pampering" never sounds real.

lucycant · 18/04/2015 18:13

Grin I think you are grasping at straws Buffy

Today I weeded the garden while DH mowed with his manly petrol mower. Should I complain that I was doing wimmin's work?
