What could a woman do that would make you question whether or not she is a feminist?

Anything that precludes women from having a free will, or not having equal rights to men would make me doubt that woman was a feminist.
Things live voting for any such laws.

Dear chopper

I fancy the inaccurate 2d portrait of Richard III more than the accurate 3d head. Am I too shallow to be a feminist with this image objectification?

Love Yonic

Women who disagree with feminism tend not to call themselves feminists. So it's sort of a moot point. Some feminists do things in the name of feminism that other feminists do not agree with, which is hardly given that not all women (and not all feminists) are the same and it's not the borg. But it's not like there's an official list or anything.

I'm interested in the wording of your title and first post, OP. Why the emphasis on consensual behaviour? Surely if an action were non-consensual a reasonable person would not hold it against her.

Why do you want to know?

Are you writing a thesis on it? What's your starting point?

YonicScrewdriver · 22/03/2015 23:53

If everyone here is a feminist, are you?

willkeaveney62417 · 22/03/2015 23:51

Everyone here is a feminist, this is feminist chat. I am curious as to what everyone thinks already. Whether or not you of know any feminist authorities or not, or whether or not there are any at all was not my question.

I have my copy of Universal Rules And Regulations For Feminists (2015 edition) ready and open on "Section 5.1: Disqualification". If you elaborate on your question OP I'll give you an official answer right away, quoting the correct subsection and paragraph.

MorrisZapp · 22/03/2015 23:43

Do you mean like giving Jeremy Clarkson a bj?

YonicScrewdriver · 22/03/2015 23:42

Oh goddess, another one.

CMOTGilbertBlythe · 22/03/2015 23:38

Please give examples of the practices you have in mind, it will greatly assist in answering your question.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 22/03/2015 23:38

What do you believe to be a "feminist stance"?

willkeaveney62417 · 22/03/2015 23:36

Whether or not there is a monolithic feminism is a question for myself that I leave to the members of this forum.

My curiosity is in whether or not there are certain practices which would undermine ones stance as a feminist.

Surrendered wife? Can you agree to surrender your free will and still believe in your right to it?

I don't know...plus some consensual behaviours can be coerced/socialised?

More questions sorry!

TheHoundsBitch · 22/03/2015 23:30

What do you think?

PuffinsAreFictitious · 22/03/2015 23:30

What is feminism according to you?

Oswin · 22/03/2015 23:30

I don't understand . Could you elaborate?
