Men who parade how "feminist" they are but who can fuck right off...

...as they don't actually want to listen to women who disagree with them in any way.

I am not including common-or-garden arseholes here, as the list would be a billion posts long and the internet would explode. I am talking about the kind of man who writes a long, handwringing article in the Guardian about how we should all listen to feminists more, but then deletes most of the comments from actual feminists that are posted on it.

The two currently at the top of my very long List are:

Because to understand otherwise her actually have to engage with what she's saying. It's far more pleasant to invent things and argue against them. Otherwise you'd be listening to someone who's a woman, and what kind of a self respecting man does that?

Owen's treadmill seems to run thus:

"If you disagree with me and my friends you are transphobic, even if you are trans and I am not."

"If you challenge me in any way you are homophobic, even if - hell, especially if - you are a lesbian. I am only being attacked because I am a gay man. It's not possible to be homophobic towards lesbians because reasons."

"Some of my best friends are women. Therefore I can't be a misogynist."

Because he picked the wrong side in the first place, Cariad, so the only way he can justify it to himself is to pretend they're saying something different from what they are.

He thinks they are bigots ergo they must be, and if they don't conveniently say bigoted things to justify him, he will have to think some up for them.

Why does Owen keep saying that Bindel et al want to deny trans people rights? That's not what they're saying at all. He's deliberately twisting their words. Little wanker.

According to the information I obtained from an online interview with Andrew Neil - it wasn't Pamela Bordes (so he says) but an african american lady.

He seems to be more than a little confused in general though, following his ridiculous interviewing techniques and misogynist tactics so I wouldnt be surprised if we found out he doesnt really know his arse from his elbow :)

I wonder how stavvers et al feel about this man appropriating Eastern European identities. He writes his FB page in awful cod-Polish accent ("I dentz nekkid") but on his TL says he has a PhD and was born in Michigan.

Yes that's him. With a white vest, a baseball cap and an African American lady next to him. If you watch his Sunday politics show on you tube with Natalie Bennett (she did perform awfully but just concentrate on his style and delivery) then compare it to Nigel Farages interview - notice how different he treats Natalie? Vile.

I would like to nominate my ex boss and Andrew Neil. An interviewer / presenter / journalist should be completely neutral and consistent in their style and delivery. He should be made to step down from his role in media / TV for his beligerent sexist attitude and behaviour.

Politics is rife with boys / gentleman's only types and ideologies that flourish with purpose for keeping women in certain, lower paid jobs and out of male dominated clubs and industries. Golf is a prime archaic example (Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden) think I might go and buy myself a set of golf clubs.

I try and not be horrible about other women, and I try really hard not to hate on other feminist but she's my exception to the rule.
