Sorry. Inspired by another thread. Grin

Challenging questions for feminists.

Do feminists believe slates or tiles are best for the roof?

Do feminists prefer fitted carpets or floorboards with rugs?

Do feminists believe gammon is best cooked in cherry cola or classic coke?

Do feminists believe potatoes should be mashed or roasted with roast chicken?

Do feminists believe that before they smash the patriarchy, they should focus on male victims of domestic violence or prostate cancer?

I could go on all night but you get the picture. Hmm

I have a male cat. He is a feminist because he will not eat phallic shaped vegetables but he does like broccoli in beef gravy.

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 20:07

Leeks are all I've got left on the allotment at this time of year, so I have to eat them...but I make sure to give them a lecture on white and green male privilege before I turn them into soup.

I don't like sausages and Dp can't eat chicken. So when I want chicken he has sausages. We fit together nicely like that Wink

Puffins Grin

Fucking misogynist leeks, stubborn. They shall be banished from my veg patch forthwith. Mind you at least they're not expecting women to do all the work so that makes a change

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 20:00

What are you having for supper petula? Onion rings?

PetulaGordino · 22/01/2015 19:59

Buffy your post was so entertaining that I burnt the sausages I was cooking for dp's supper. I feel this has Meaning

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 19:57

I meant before they're picked and on the shelf in Sainsbury's, by the way....

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 19:57

petula Apparently weeing on leeks makes them grow bigger- but only if it's man wee! (faints).

PuffinsAreFictitious · 22/01/2015 19:55

My present feminist view on that Petula is very loud snorty laughing. The type that makes the dogs run about excitedly.

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 19:55

You could eat oranges, watermelon, pumpkin and swede and doughnuts

Chips would be out, though- they're pretty phallic.

PetulaGordino · 22/01/2015 19:54

Dp and I spent a good five minutes in the garden centre sniggering at leek seeds described as producing leeks with a "long thick shank". I imagine there is a feminist view on this? Hmm? HMM?

unclerory · 22/01/2015 19:48

Ponders if a feminist diet would work. No diet yoghurt or salad or phallic vegetables but lots of aubergine and wine. Sounds good to me.

I'd rather have a goat cannon symbol than celery the salad item of patriarchy

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 19:04

Grin at buffy. She's finally lost it. Grin Grin

I have learned so much. Should my veg drawer be segrated into phallic symbols of the patriarchy and feminist symbols of the mother/goddess principal? Eager fridgefem.

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 17:15

No! Celery in curry is serious heresy. The only vegetables allowed in a curry are aubergines and potatoes. And maybe swedes. And carrots, depending on the type of curry. And maybe courgettes and butternut squash. But NO CELERY. Or jerusalem artechoke. No no no.

EElisavetaofJingleBellsornia · 22/01/2015 17:13

Whoa, whoa. MASH??!? With a roast?! What is this heresy?

I mean, really. We had a troll, yes, it wasn't pretty. But you can take things TOO FAR.

Celery in curry, however, is inspired.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 22/01/2015 17:11

Celery is intersectional. I'm happy with that sisters.

LightningOnlyStrikesOnce · 22/01/2015 16:37

No no, you've got to dislike the tumble dryers. So you're only on two out of four too (forgot I don't do gammon either). I really think we need to emphasise the role of celery, it is the key unifier.
