Sorry. Inspired by another thread. Grin

Challenging questions for feminists.

Do feminists believe slates or tiles are best for the roof?

Do feminists prefer fitted carpets or floorboards with rugs?

Do feminists believe gammon is best cooked in cherry cola or classic coke?

Do feminists believe potatoes should be mashed or roasted with roast chicken?

Do feminists believe that before they smash the patriarchy, they should focus on male victims of domestic violence or prostate cancer?

I could go on all night but you get the picture. Hmm

Buffy I suspect that you enjoyed imagining documenting that HQ conversation Grin

Sad that I missed the originator thread now....

I've always hated the word "ladies" and learned why on here: Ladies are women who know their place.

That's why okra should be okra and not lady's fingers. Grin

I love that kickass

(And to completely miss the point) My unintentional act of war failed though - he said (genuinely) "mmm I love it when the sausages are a bit burnt"

kickassangel · 23/01/2015 01:19

I fucking hate aubergine.

For Petula:
What's That Smell in the Kitchen?
by Marge Piercy

All over America women are burning dinners.
It's lambchops in Peoria; it's haddock
in Providence; it's steak in Chicago
tofu delight in Big Sur; red
 rice and beans in Dallas.
All over America women are burning
food they're supposed to bring with calico
smile on platters glittering like wax.
Anger sputters in her brainpan, confined
but spewing out missiles of hot fat.
Carbonized despair presses like a clinker
from a barbecue against the back of her eyes.
If she wants to grill anything, it's
her husband spitted over a slow fire.
If she wants to serve him anything
it's a dead rat with a bomb in its belly
ticking like the heart of an insomniac.
Her life is cooked and digested,
 nothing but leftovers in Tupperware.
Look, she says, once I was roast duck
on your platter with parsley but now I am Spam.
Burning dinner is not incompetence but war.
EBearhug · 23/01/2015 00:46

I'm not sure which camp spring onions or okra fall into....

Okra's also known as lady's fingers, if that helps.

Never mind third/fourth wave feminism

We're on the verge of a vegetable wave

Amethyst24 · 22/01/2015 23:55

Imagine! You would stand head and shoulders above other researchers in the cannon of [feministcelery]. And rightly so.

You'd probably have to submit your project to an ethics committee first, though, before wantonly turning the lives of internet randoms upside down.

Think of the impact factor, Buffy! You'd be the envy of your colleagues.

I can't believe HQ have said no to [feministcelery] It's worse than the Sun reneging on Page 3. It's worse than... worse than PATRIARCHY.

Maybe we can just type [feministcelery] when we feel the need, and imagine the icon in our collective, raised consciousness.

BriarRainbowshimmer · 22/01/2015 20:51

This artist who made this reconstruction of a t-rex agrees!

Do feminists believe that vented tumble driers or condensers are best?
UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 20:45

You can almost see the resemblance. Grin

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/01/2015 20:45

They say chickens evolved from t-rex.

BriarRainbowshimmer · 22/01/2015 20:23

I don't even know.
Some would argue that birds are a kind of dinosaurs...

PetulaGordino · 22/01/2015 20:18

Does archaeopteryx count as a dinosaur?

no chance of winning argument so broadens terms

BriarRainbowshimmer · 22/01/2015 20:15

Okay but which dinosaur is coolest, t-rex or spinosaur?

PetulaGordino · 22/01/2015 20:13

Pfft I don't have to eat them
