Very quietly, it would appear.

Also, daft mare. It goes back to the time honoured tradition on calling women you don't like animals.

PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 16:32

We know historians didn't write that article - it's very obvious

download · 20/01/2015 16:28

haven't dropped it from their website

I'm almost tempted to believe your insight on cavemen's preferences, Birdo - chiefly because you come across as someone who has a close connection with the missing link.

PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 16:25

hahaha at "cavemen" as a term being used by any anthropologists or historians of merit

ApocalypseThen · 20/01/2015 16:22

Historians who can't spell "prominent" are a rare breed. I know that because I did the massively middle class history when I went to massively middle class university. If I knew then that I earned the scorn of all right thinking men along with my degree, I'd have studied harder.

I'll leave it out on the back seat of my volvo estate Royally. Easier pickings than a lorry.

PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 15:36

Probably nick it from the back of a lorry Royally - given that the working classes are assumed to be sexist and stupid I think we can safely assume they are all thieves too

RoyallyFuckedOff · 20/01/2015 15:33

What a feminist have to do if she wanted to see this copy of Hairy Balls Weekly (for research purposes obviously) but was not, an upper middle class feminist and therefore not allowed in to M&S?

glenthebattleostrich · 20/01/2015 15:31

Ifyoure, hairy balls weekly is strictly for the upper middle classes and as such only available when you purchase a M&S meal deal!

RoyallyFuckedOff · 20/01/2015 15:30

Men aren't socialised to like breasts. The attraction goes back to caveman times when women with bigger breasts were percieved as being healthier mothers for men's children and could provide lots of milk for the babies.

Oh. An anthropologist in our midst. Hmm

Actually, funny enough there are many cultures where the women walk around boobs all over the show and men don't even notice. Guess why? Because they're just feeding their children with them. Or not doing anything particularly interesting with them at all. What we find sexually appealing varies all over the world.

See Amazon ear stretching.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 20/01/2015 15:26

Do you not get your copy of Hairy Balls Weekly delivered with the supplements on Saturday? Or is that just a suburbanfeminist thing?

PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 15:23

Buffy don't you realise that all over Middle-class feministdom women are resisting their overwhelming attraction to big hairy swinging testicles and secretly bemoaning the fact that no national newspapers cater to their need for such a treat with their morning coffee

scallopsrgreat · 20/01/2015 15:11

Some cultures have men that are attracted to small breasts. In fact the correlation between men and breast fancying can be traced to relatively recent times. And there is no correlation between size of the breasts and the amount of milk produced for a baby. HTH.

I think you are on a wind-up here tbh to not even think that socialisation might play a part in what we are attracted to. It is pretty stupid to think it doesn't.

scallopsrgreat · 20/01/2015 14:28

Actually Birdo I think men are socialised to find breasts sexually attractive.

They are certainly socialised to disassociate them from the women they are attached to as if the women are interchangeable objects.

messyisthenewtidy · 20/01/2015 14:01

I for one am overjoyed. Of course it affects girls. There comes a moment in every girl's life where she has to ask herself "why do so many men enjoy looking at girls' breasts?". And the answer she comes up affects the way she views herself and her self worth.

So this is great news.
