I have an adult blog on tumblr and I post adult content. I follow other blogs like this which will openly post porn etc. Thats why I followed them. But, a lot of the time, they post things such as
"I hate men! Men are all pigs and rapists! Kill all men! I am a feminist!"
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't feminism all about equality? why are they like this?
I come home to a DP who treats me like a princess. If I say no, it's no. He'll open a door for me and all that crap (one thing these tumblr feminists don't like, is they HATE men doing ANYTHING for them. I don't understand why.) He is NOT a rapist, a pig, he can be an idiot but thats why we love our DPs. Apparently I am a shit woman for having a male P.
I got a compliment from some guy in the street saying I looked good on a night out. he asked me if I had a boyfriend and I said yes I do, so he said ah man cool have a good night then walked off and congratulated my partner for having me! According to tumblr feminists, he raped me just by looking/talking to me. Anyone want to tell me why?
These people think that if you are transgender (FtM) you are just as bad as a man because you identify as a man.
And also, these people like to make words up for themselves. Like, "I am a transfat feminist who is schizophrenic and has PTSD, I am triggered by anything to do with fattism and the colour Teal."
are these people serious?
Like, I'm all for equality. I just want everyone to be equal but under no circumstances can I see these girls/women to be feminists when they don't want men, they hate and want to kill men and all transgendered men and bring their sons up as girls.
This is not feminism is it?
Are they being serious?
It winds me. Anyone who can not wind me and still answer this OP will get a Cake & Brew Grin

I would be terrified if locked on a fairground ride!!

scallopsrgreat · 02/09/2014 23:22

I locked my brother in the toilet of a narrow boat once when he was about 5. Nobody could find him. You can imagine how frantic my parents were Shock. I then 'miraculously' found him when I remembered what I'd done with him. I had plans for the patriarchy even then .

My youngest locked himself in the bedroom of a scout hostel were staying at. We didn't have a key. He is 2. Somehow I managed to talk him into unlocking the door. That was the patriarchy getting one back at me Wink.

toooldforglitter why not come and post in the pub? We don't bite, honestly we don't!

TooOldForGlitter · 02/09/2014 22:31

I lurk here because I'm not brave enough to post but I can contribute to the locked in tales...I once got 'locked in' (or should that be on?) The Haunted Swing at Blackpool pleasure beach when the lad went off for his dinner and left the ride going.

QisforQcumber · 02/09/2014 15:46

I've never been locked in anywhere but sometimes others do have to open doors for me. when the sensors for automatic doors are too high to sense hobbit like me scuttling under the radar.

RufusTheReindeer · 02/09/2014 14:00

When I decide if I want to read long threads I read the OP

Then as far down the first page as I want and then if I think it's all going the same way I have a quick look at the last page

So you can imagine just how confused I am now

A friend of mine once got locked in the bathroom and had to be busted out by firemen.

It was in a rented house, but a rented student house, so the landlord was probably expecting smashed-up doors anyway.

We were once nearly "locked" in Hyde Park. Who knew they had patrols going round telling people to fuck off at certain time of the night? Hmm We were just taking a short cut. It's a bloody big park plonked in the middle of town getting in the way of people trying to get from here to there.

I'm not sure what my fantasy "locked in" place is Hmm but John Lewis + Waitrose would probably be OK for an evening.

SolidGoldBrass · 02/09/2014 10:03

DS and I have been locked in parks. Twice. This is what happens when small boys want five more minutes on the swings when the sun is going down and the clocks just went back.

Hmm, does that make it all DS' fault and him a miniature Male Oppressor?

rofl at locked-in stories

i have a secret dream of being locked in a john lewis (with a food outlet). i'd get myself a tasty range of expensive finger foods and settle down in the bed department

AnyFucker · 02/09/2014 09:32

I got locked in Top Shop once when all the staff went home.

I once got locked in the loo because the doorknob fell off the other side of the door.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 02/09/2014 09:07

As a child I got locked in the loo twice. It's never happened to me as an adult though.

UptoapointLordCopper · 02/09/2014 08:56

I am disappointed to learn that LRD is not a real dragon but am strangely reassured about AF's status. There are still things you can rely on on the interweb. Grin

I know about the opening door thing! What is it about me that disqualify me from holding doors open for people? >

And I've never walked on capes. Wouldn't it be slippery? I think I'll risk a wet ankle. Would it rude to refuse? But hang on - I've got waterproof shoes and boots! Yeah! Dilemma over. See - technology is the answer.

AdamLambsbreath · 02/09/2014 08:33

if I walk through this door now will I have to hand my balls back?

love it

AdamLambsbreath · 02/09/2014 08:32

Well, sameboat, capes + puddles was in the Middle Ages, when men were really men.

That's what happens when feminists take over and emasculate men. You start whingeing about women being burned at the stake for imaginary crimes, and suddenly wouldn't you know it, you've got wet ankles.

Think on.

TheSameBoat · 02/09/2014 08:29

Oh Adam I have been there done that, feel the pain. The confusion on their faces as you open the door for them is intriguing, it's as if they are wrestling with some inner moral dilemma "if I walk through this door now will I have to hand my balls back?"

It's just a door FFS!

TheSameBoat · 02/09/2014 08:24

SingingSilver, I know! Why is it that they don't bang on about laying capes over puddles for us to walk over?

Come to think of it NO ONE has ever done that for me Angry Now that is something I would be willing to give up my sexual, political, economic and intellectual rights for ....

AdamLambsbreath · 02/09/2014 08:17

I used to work with a man who opened doors for me. Fine, that's just politeness, if he went through first.

However, he also refused to enter doors I was holding open for him. Even if I was inside, holding an inward-opening door, and he was outside.

The resulting skirmishing, banging of door on elbows, leaning over at ridiculous angles with arm outstretched to keep the sodding thing from banging in his face while I preserved his 'gentlemanhood' was beyond ludicrous.

I broke the standoff by refusing to budge one day. It took a good five minutes of 'No you', 'No, you', 'No, really, YOU.' Then he got pissed off with me when forced to give in.

I'd happily miss out on that shit.

SignYourNameInBrownAndFlame · 02/09/2014 07:01

I knew Buffy's middle name without googling too, but I am not Buffy. Or Spartacus.

I am a very colour-specific signature instruction, which is extremely boring but not as boring as bits of tumblr

I am fond of both "vexatious" and "capricious". I may spend today being capriciously vexatious. So there.

PetulaGordino · 02/09/2014 06:17

AF i want to say an officer and a gentleman. or maybe forrest gump. one where there is military training in it anyway

SingingSilver · 02/09/2014 01:35

He opens doors for you? Would you be stuck in the toilet forever if he wasn't waiting outside to turn the door-handle? What is it with anti-feminists and MRA's and door holding? I see it all the time... 'Oh, some dude let a door shut in your face? That's what you get for wanting equal pay bitch! if you'd stayed as human property you'd get DOORS opened for you. That's what you're missing out on!'

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 02/09/2014 01:31

I believe you, Buffy.

Um, sounds familiar, AF. Captain Jack?
