Why the fucking fuck is that rapist Ched Evans being released anyway?

I thought that in order to get parole, the minimum you had to do was admit that you are actually guilty of the crime for which you've been imprisoned?

But Evans the rapist hasn't admitted that he's a rapist. He keeps saying he's innocent.

So why is he being released?

Is this normal now?

Do all prisoners automatically get early release for good behaviour even if they keep saying they didn't actually do the crime, therefore proving that the one thing that used to be a necessity for early release - remorse - is definitely missing?

Hup did your case ever make it to trial and if so was there a conviction?

Panwearsamagicjersey · 14/08/2014 22:35

the licence bit? Someone on a release licence can be recalled to prison IF they show any sign of presenting a further/continued risk. That is when the Parole Board have a role, to either support, or refuse, the recall.

Panwearsamagicjersey · 14/08/2014 22:07

Stopped clock...I'll accept that AF.Smile

CaptChaos · 14/08/2014 22:05

Yeah, thanks AnyFucker, I feel better about it now Smile

SevenZarkSeven · 14/08/2014 22:05

"Me, and a few others, believe offences of sexual assault and DV should get an indeterminate sentence i.e. release when your risk can be managed in the community and not before, but the law says otherwise."

No argument from me on that either.

AnyFucker · 14/08/2014 22:04

...and I agree

AnyFucker · 14/08/2014 22:04

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day Wink

Panwearsamagicjersey · 14/08/2014 22:00

Just another Half Man Half Biscuit Poster poster!!

Hup · 14/08/2014 22:00

OMG! I agree with Pan! Grin

Panwearsamagicjersey · 14/08/2014 21:57

to clarify a bit IF it hasn't been explained, the Parole Board have nothing to do with his release. He received a Standard Determinate sentence, which means he is released at the half-way stage, and then is on licence for the rest of it.

Me, and a few others, believe offences of sexual assault and DV should get an indeterminate sentence i.e. release when your risk can be managed in the community and not before, but the law says otherwise.

Panwearsamagicjersey · 14/08/2014 21:51

not read all of the thread, but I've posted a reference which may be relevant on the 'good video' thread. fwiw.

Hup · 14/08/2014 21:45

I have just referred to her as girl, as that is how I think of her - a young girl. No deliberate reason to not refer to her as victim. She, like me, is a victim of rape. It's a Nancy thing from Oliver Twist.

Anyfucker my original post was about why I thought his new appeal would succeed because of the evidence he would use following accusations of twitter and Facebook posts, following on from the OP which talks about his early release. I have continually been saying why I think he will get off on this new appeal, with all the (strangely gathered) new evidence. The evidence which I don't think will help the girl if it gets back to court as his defence team will try and show her as mercenary.

As for taken advantage of ... Her drunken state wax taken advantage of by the first man and by those taking photographs and videos of her. She was raped by Evans. As I have said I would have found the other man guilty too.

If you think he's guilty, why not call her the victim?

AnyFucker · 14/08/2014 21:31

Hup, every one of your posts has implied that the Justice System has let him down, not her

MorrisZapp · 14/08/2014 21:31

If yiu had said at first that you think the justice system will let her down then fair enough. But your own words 'the girl didn't help herself' etc strike the absolute opposite tone. As for 'taken advantage' then the local police deciding to pursue as rape, what else would they pursue it as, if taken advantage of means raped?

You're at it.

Thanks just, of course it's bullshit if you think it is. And anyfucker I am not embarrassed or backtracking.

Once again, I have never said he is innocent or that she is guilty. I used the phrase taken advantage of to refer to the men as a group who took advantage of her, and have referred to him as a rapist.

Jeez wish I hadn't bothered to have an opinion - on why I think the justice system will let her down.

Considering how hard it is to get rapists convicted of their crime I can't help think people who are convicted of rape unequivocally did it! Personally I think if a woman does not consent at the actual time of the event for whatever reason then the man should not touch them.

I am horrified at those who think that simply because she was capable of walking into the hotel room then she must have consented. We have no idea when she had her last drink. I would also like to point out that drugged drinks do not necessary result in paralysis and can take up to 30 minutes to get into the victims system. The victims cannot remember the entire rapes but do know something is very wrong and that someone has had sex with them. It would explain the vomiting and unconscious state plus lack of detailed memory.

What he did was horrific. How dare he use a persons body in that way. No he should not live a life of privilege, riches and fame. It is completely unacceptable.

ButchCassidy · 14/08/2014 21:15

Ched Evans is a rapist.
I believe his victim.

He has shown no remorse.
