Now seen two that say that, from Cecile Richards.

Don't see anything official, though.

Tee2072 · 26/06/2013 08:41

Just saw one Tweet that said Lt Gov said bill was dead.

GibberTheMonkey · 26/06/2013 08:40

Ooh x posts

A very very nice x post

GibberTheMonkey · 26/06/2013 08:39

The bbc are reporting it as having passed

Can't work out what's happening now

jollyhappy · 26/06/2013 08:39

She's done it - the republicans have just backed down.

herethereandeverywhere · 26/06/2013 08:34

Wendy Davis is my new hero too. In the centenary of Emily Davison throwing herself under the Kings horse women are still putting themselves on the line physically and mentally for fellow women's rights. So many things have changed in that time - and yet - watching a Senate full of men bending and breaking rules to pass anti-women legislation I can't help but feel that things aren't that different.

The interplay of modern technology as the eyes of the world is a fascinating aspect although it didn't affect the results of the Presidential Election in 2000 where they got W.Bush anyway!

Wendy Davis I salute you.

LurcioLovesFrankie · 26/06/2013 08:20

What an amazing thread! Wendy Davis is my new hero. I love the clock twitter feed.

Tee2072 · 26/06/2013 08:15

Printed copy of Vote record

5madthings · 26/06/2013 08:14

Ah i know what that is but havent heard it referred to as SCOTUS and i was readung it as that and not quite engaging my brain enough ti think what it could stand for....

Where is a link to the official paper record?its just crazy to think they think they can get away with it. It is falsifying an official document?!!

Tee2072 · 26/06/2013 08:11

It's not just the screenshots of the website that are around, BTW. The official paper record has been photographed and published to Twitter.

tribpot · 26/06/2013 08:10

Supreme Court of the United States.

Tee2072 · 26/06/2013 08:10

What is SCOTUS? Supreme Court of the United States.

5madthings · 26/06/2013 08:09

What is SCOTUS? exactly.

I havent seen any official spokesperson say anythung, british media is saying its still unclear/undecided?

Tee2072 · 26/06/2013 08:05

I do not think the President can step in. SCOTUS can though.

The States do have some autonomy, that's part of why we have States.

But they are not going to get away with this.

msrisotto · 26/06/2013 08:02

It is illegal to tamper with official government record, it's all over twitter. The vote has to be declared void.

thecatfromjapan · 26/06/2013 07:56

Thanks for telling us/me about this, MmeLindor.

What an amazing woman!

(I still have my fingers crossed for the outcome ...)

msrisotto · 26/06/2013 07:54

Yeah the clock makes me laugh: "COME UP HERE AND CALL ME A LIAR TO MY MOTHERFUCKING FACE!"

5madthings · 26/06/2013 07:53

Yes yes kveta i liked that tweet as well! Grin

5madthings · 26/06/2013 07:52

Lol at the clock! I am now folllowing..

They cannot change time! .

Kveta · 26/06/2013 07:48

loving that clock twitter feed - 'I HAVE A SPRING FOR A BRAIN AND EVEN I RESPECT THE SANCTITY OF A WOMAN'S BODY & SELF DETERMINATION.' :o

5madthings · 26/06/2013 07:47

Has there been an official statement released by amyone?

tribpot · 26/06/2013 07:44

There's some poor sod who runs their website who is feeling like utter crap right now. Tampering with an official record?

I see that the Texas Senate Clock now has its own Twitter feed. It doesn't seem happy to be overruled on matters of 'telling time' Grin

What a complete disgrace.

MmeLindor · 26/06/2013 07:42

Can't believe they changed the time stamp. Nincompoops.

msrisotto · 26/06/2013 07:41

I wonder if Obama will step in? He should, it's a travesty and mockery of the system.

msrisotto · 26/06/2013 07:40

Wow this doesn't look good! So much for land of the free. If you don't like the outcome, just change it! Simples. Politicians are fucking corrupt, who would have thought!
