Sun article on Nicola Benedetti - horribly creepy & incredibly sexist (even for the Sun)

You know how Nicola Bendetti's an acclaimed classical musician? Blink and you might miss it with possibly the most misogynistic & downright creepy entertainment article I've ever read in the mainstream press:

Yes, it's the Sun, which is practically a comic, but argh! She's not a page 3 model who has on some level 'volunteered' to be painted in a particular way, she's a classical violinist.

Sometimes it seems like the world has moved forward so much (and it has), but then a piece of utter claptrap makes it seem like you've stepped into a time warp.

God that is depressing, sometimes wonder what kind of world my DDs are growing up in. Lovely talented girl why the pressure to "sex" it up? Guess its just the mentality of a certain type of "lad" hopefully not how the majority think.

Greythorne I believe it means she has a big nose, but I could be wrong.

tribpot Absolutely, though her team are undoubtedly media savvie, so I doubt they'll comment on it.

Yamyoid I'm sure she expected a bit of that, but I can't think she would have expected it to be quite that bad. I mean the comment about the boyfriend - cringe!

Obviously it's awful and offensive but she must have known how the article would pan out when she agreed to an interview with a journalist from the Sun.

Yeah, it's depressing. To be honest wasn't sure I should link in the first place, because it gives them hits.

I get the feeling if people commented or posted negatively about it, they'd be of the view no publicity is bad publicity & of course feminists are no exactly the Sun's core market.

I do wonder though what their readers would think if that was their wife or daughter being written about in such a grubby way.
