There's already a thread on this in chat, but thought we could do with one here too.

femfresh

Again, like the Girly Girls Love Science When It Means You Can Wear Make-UP!! campaign, this has had a lot of negative feedback. Post it on your FB wall, post on their wall, let them know that their useless product and shitty marketing is an abomination.

That poem can't be for real, surely?

If so, well, they've got half of it right (froofroo, come ON) but surely the perpetuating of stinky vagina myths is the more worrying side.

Looks like they've issued an apology.

Ambrosius · 23/06/2012 13:49

Pointless product. If you've got a smelly minge you need a doctor not shower gel!

catinboots · 23/06/2012 13:44

Well I stand corrected then Grin

AnyFucker · 23/06/2012 13:41

And for that reason, I judge it as a Feminist issue

AnyFucker · 23/06/2012 13:40

I find the idea of making women feel dirty about their bodies to sell stuff abhorrent

Feminine deodorants are not a valid consumer product, IMO. In order to sell them, the promoters have to make women feel guilty about the natural state of their sexual organs

CoryTunt · 23/06/2012 13:38

Yes I'm offended by the Lynx adverts.

I'm also offended that the female "scent" can be considered SO offensive that I must distract all odours that may indicate the fact I have a vagina.

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 23/06/2012 13:37

I disagree massively with the objectification of women on the Lynx adverts and have complained to the ASA recently.

catinboots · 23/06/2012 13:33

Not worked up at all AF. Just amused.

Nowt wrong with personal hygiene. It's common courtesy between couples/partners.

Is it the Fem bit that horrifies you most?? Do you disagree with muscly male torsos on the Lynx adverts??

AnyFucker · 23/06/2012 13:26

cat, is this the only thread you can get worked up over ? seriously ?

AnyFucker · 23/06/2012 13:25

Waaaay back in the mists of MN folklore, there was a post that turned into a support thread for women to go "cold turkey" in giving up their panty liners and feminine deodorants (even the name makes me spit)

it was quite successful, as I recall < fond memories >

catinboots · 23/06/2012 13:23

Christ. Is this all you can find to froth over? Seriously?

Anniegetyourgun · 23/06/2012 13:21

Ha! I remember our barking mad English teacher, a couple of centuries ago, railing against Femfresh. "Take my advice and don't spend a penny on it,", she declared. Collapse of class in helpless giggles.

PosieParker · 22/06/2012 20:42

I haven't clicked, out of laziness, but was thinking about why women would need to wear daily pantyliners as if any feminine odour is disgusting.

yellowraincoat · 22/06/2012 17:42

Yes, it is an FB link.

NoComet · 22/06/2012 17:38

Please don't waste my time posting FB, I don't do it.

I wish posters would mark FB and utube (since I don't always want the sound on).
