Talking about this on the Relationships board. Does anyone remember this woman from the 60's/70's who set up an early(?) refuge? Are her work and writings still valid today, or discredited at all, anyone have any knowledge? I may not be spelling correctly.

Can we keep a couple of the men? Just a couple?

OK, one...

Only because he's lovely...

Sorry, I'm not too good at the crazy, man hating lesbian act. :(

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 01:01

Ahhhh, ohhh, that's just reminded me of something... I'll send it to you tomorrow. :)

And pffft, I've already told him he's not allowed to ever be older than 4. He's adamant he's 1 atm... I can live with this.

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:52

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:51

TE, it is terrifying, believe me

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:50

she walked in 10 minutes ago. I had spoken to her on the phone, btw Smile

she's been to see Titanic 3D, and couldn't get in the first showing so had to wait for the 8:20...and the film is very long, the cinema is 4 miles away

TrophyEyes · 12/04/2012 00:48

I'm sure it wouldn't, AF. We're much too mature and sensible for that.

Eek, give her a call. I remember my DB being three hours late home once. Strolled in just as Mum was about to phone the police. I have all this to come...

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:35

< adjusts cat's bum face as dd is still out >

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:34

for those posters who think that, I meant < checks watch and yawns >

AnyFucker · 12/04/2012 00:34

I wonder if HQ set up an extra section for the "Feminists are family-killing, hairy legged, mean bee-atches" whether it would get trolled by Feminists ?

< strokes chin thoughtfully >

TrophyEyes · 12/04/2012 00:33

Yes! :D

We'll have to ask for a clarification thread, explaining why they've been sent there.

Perhaps MN could find a way that if you've taken to slut shaming, victim blaming or any other form of misogyny, that as soon as you type in FWR, you get redirected there, until you can prove you've changed your ways?

Nyac · 12/04/2012 00:31

So shall we just ask Mumsnet for an extra section inside FWR, for that sector of opinion?

TrophyEyes · 12/04/2012 00:27

Quick, can we get some sensible discussion in? Instead of having to revert back to the "waaaaah, feminists are destroying everything" discussion...

Hey, I don't even have a problem with feminism 'destroying the family.' What feminism should be trying to destroy is the type of 'family' that consists of a male owner of women and children, or at least destroying the idea of it as the type of family to aspire to. Feminism is, at least in part about remaking the idea of 'family'.

Noooo, nyac. Don't call her back. Please?

TrophyEyes · 12/04/2012 00:09

I'd prefer something that could be acronymed to WTAF. Can that be arranged?
