Hello,

I just reported a thread started by 'Dittony' which had a title attacking another poster and provided a link to a blog post.

It looked like a few others had reported it too as they had posted on it.

However in A/C there is another thread with the same title, which when you click on it takes you to a page saying 'error: thread deleted at OP's request'.

The OP however would appear to be someone who posted on the first thread, but not the same person who started it.

So can anyone please clarify what happened here...assuming the second thread was not posted by the same person as the first, (which has now gone) under a namechange?

(really hope not!)

Bob I was referring to your friend and you both attacking me viciously for a joke that was intended innocently. It is very unfair.

Bob I had no intention of twisting your words. I simple made a little joke to be friendly and I think you have become totally over-emotional about the whole thing. You may feel you can police what I say - you can't. This board is a free space for me to post if I want to. I am sorry you misudnerstood but sad you still can't tell me what was really wrong with my little joke and why you are so upset by it.

Milli Vanilli were very talented artists who were persecuted- nay, hounded- for being so full of integrity that people got jealous and couldn't cope. Or something.

How do you find out that you have been deleted? I think I may have been deleted once, but not sure at all.

ChristinedePizan · 15/09/2011 12:35

Charles & Eddie went the same way as most singers. I was wondering what had happened to Avril Lavigne this morning (as you do)

LRDTheFeministDragon · 15/09/2011 12:35

Shirley thanks for those kind words. It is a real shame that some people cannot be kind and decent when i am trying to join in a genuine discussion!

edd, that is totally untrue! It was a joke - humour! I was being lighthearted which most people would find friendly. What do you want me to do? I just want to understand and sympathize and all you do is shoot me down. It just gives you all a bad name when you behave in such a rude manner to someone trying to be nice to you.

And I notice you and bob are ganging up on me ... doesn't matter who I tried to talk to, you both come after me!

ShirelyKnotSHIRE · 15/09/2011 12:32

Thank you DCM.

Whatever happened to those guys?

Love you LRD, please don't be too upset. Sad It's baffling!

No tethers, it was definintely NOT Milli Vanilli because Milli Vanilli didn't actually exist. Shock

All a LIE! Shock

They were called Charles and Eddie. I'm sure of it.

DontCallMeFrothyDragon · 15/09/2011 12:31

It was Charles and Eddie, btw

edd1337 · 15/09/2011 12:31

No LRD. It came accross as though you were discrediting what someone knew. It's rather rude. I suppose if I told you that you were not a real feminist and you were doing it wrong, all hell would break loose

DontCallMeFrothyDragon · 15/09/2011 12:30

That was the first tape I ever bought! Grin

I loved that song... Blush

LRDTheFeministDragon · 15/09/2011 12:29

Still no answer bob? What was wrong with my joke? I am just trying to understand. You can tell from the fact i tried to post in a way you would like, that I am trying very hard to understand your position and I think I deserve an explanation. I have asked for it politely.

tethersend · 15/09/2011 12:29

Milli Vanilli?

ShirelyKnotSHIRE · 15/09/2011 12:25

Hallelujah!

What was the name of that band? Charles and Eddie wasn't it?

They were rubbish and one had long hair and swished it about a bit and one of them played the guitar and they sang that "Would I lie to you baby, would I lie to you-hoo-oo" and it was shit?

Was it Charles and Eddie?

LRDTheFeministDragon · 15/09/2011 12:24

Yes, and Pan would have appreciated my sense of humour. FFS, it was lighthearted! Some people are so sensitive, it's ridiculous. Sad

HereBeBolloX · 15/09/2011 12:23

Pan comes here quite a lot and he's a man.

And AdelaofBlois. He's v. good.

LRDTheFeministDragon · 15/09/2011 12:22

Bob, I've noticed you and Edd enjoy lighthearted jokes. I assumed making one at your expense would be taken in the spirit in which it was intended? Why don't you find it funny? I'm really sad now. I made a big effort to talk to you in the way you appreciate and you just have no sense of humour and invite your friend to gang up on me! And swearing at me for no reason!

Why are you so upset and rude?
