Some men really hate women being single don't they?

inspired by a couple of other threads including the separatism one. Have you ever noticed that if a man you don't like or know or fancy is trying to persuade you to date him or spend time with him or even just talk to him, the only really effective way to make him fuck off is to tell him that you are another man's property. Just saying No, leave me alone, no thanks, actually I am having a conversation with my female friend and am not interested in talking to you, never seems to work until you throw in My Boyfriend or My Husband.

swallowedafly, I am not male. Why do you persist with this, really?

I mean it is not as if I can prove to you one way or another, is it?

Is it so incomprehensible that some people who disagree with you may also be female?

OK, you disagree with me, I think that is clear enough! Well, that is your right as a human being, to disagree with others. But what if I happened to be a feminist chap who is browsing here? Is it not insulting to such men to have their gender thrown about as an insult because the only people who could possibly disagree and be horrible are men?

DontCallMePeanut · 08/08/2011 19:02

No idea, Annie. As a chronic singleton, I'm trying to work that out myself.

HerBeX · 08/08/2011 19:01

Anniegetyourgun Severin has suggested that you just pretend you have a boyfriend so that the pathetic creature who has accosted you, has a face saving way of being rejected.

Because men's right to have their faces saved, is more important than women's right to go about their lawful business without being harassed.

Anniegetyourgun · 08/08/2011 18:59

Good lord, this has moved on a bit since I last dipped in. It's nearly run out of space, we'll have to start another one.

I think I must have missed the bit where someone explained how I get rid of unwanted pests if I don't have a boyfriend - that would be useful. TIA.

I never did get the hang of casting on... or purling. Sounded too much like something I'd doo after downing a bottle of wine.

Well, I guess if mn suspects that a person is posting under multiple identities for malicious purposes they ban them.
So if -for some bizarre reason that I genuinely cannot explain- they think I am using multiple identities to troll (which I am not) they will now ban me.

So, I guess the proof of the pudding as to who is being truthful or not (or to give benefit of the doubt, genuinely mistaken) will soon be apparent if I never post on this site again. We'll just have to wait I guess.

and funnily enough, even though we're women, we aren't that great at knitting either Grin

come on MNHQ, you've confirmed to me also that there are trolls about today, can we put them to bed yet?

Oh wait, SAF is misinterpreting... Because us women like to say "yes" when we mean "no" and "no" when we mean "yes", don't we?

DontCallMePeanut · 08/08/2011 18:24

You're confused? It's pretty clear to the rest of us, dearie...

Wamster · 08/08/2011 18:24

Yes, it is possible you are misinterpreting, swallowedafly.

DontCallMePeanut · 08/08/2011 18:23

Even with the DNA testing, the ex wouldn't have believed me... Grin

He thought DS was conceived by a man I hadn't seen for 3 years, who lived 190 miles away....

Wamster · 08/08/2011 18:22

AuntieMonica, I don't want to get off on anything! Genuinely am confused as to what the heck swallowedafly is on about.

Sadistic bunch that they are...

Wamster · 08/08/2011 18:20

Look, I know I've disagreed with a lot here. And by god, think me an idiot all you like, but I am a genuine idiot, and am not assuming another identity to post here.

swallowedafly, I genuinely hand on heart do not know what the heck you are talking about!
