Was Bristol Palin raped?

darleneoconnor · 20/06/2011 11:16

according to this bristol palin was so drunk when she conceived her son that she doesn't remember having sex.

Sounds like rape to me.

Then she was basically 'forced' to marry her rapist? WTF! Sometimes America sounds more like the middle east!

Quite a few forums are discussing this, with some

disgusting rape myths on this forum

Only just got here having read through the later stuff.

But you did imply that that statement meant you can't take her seriously.

Dittany,can i ask you a genuine question?

Do you think families do need fathers?

And i'm not looking for reasons why they don't but reasons you might think that they do.

Macaroona · 25/06/2011 18:31

'it's been pointed out'

It's an opinion Dittany, not fact because it's your opinion. It's part of the debate, not being defensive! God you're good at twisting threads though.

Hully, I can't take you seriously after all your crap with the "I'll kill myself" just because you didn't like what I was saying

Come off it Dittany...you are being disingenuous if you are saying that you think that was Hullys intention.

Findnofun · 25/06/2011 18:11

I think Dittany's posts help fathers rights more than any MRA postings ever could.

So thanks for that, and keep posting.

Macaroona · 25/06/2011 18:11

Dittany - who is the 'MRA gang' on this thread of whom you write?

The debate started off interesting, but then you and a few other posters starting defaming posters who disagreed with you by calling them MRAs, anti-feminist, colluding with the patriarchy etc and reminding us how bad rape is.

People don't post here to be given a lecture or judged - like the rest of MN, it is supposed to be a public forum where differing views are to be expected. You undermine your arguments when you resort to bringing up things from otter threads rather than sticking to the OP.

Where the flip did I say that? Hmm

I give up...

DontCallMePeanut · 25/06/2011 16:43

I didn't accuse you of denying it, but you implied FNF would not allow it to happen. I'm sorry, but like that link says (when you read between the lines), they're domestic abuse apologisers. And that's their own words...

What relevance does HRH's chosen charities have to this thread, other than providing an opportunity for people to have a go?

Likewise, I'm not denying that innocent men lose access to their children. But I've yet to come accross such a scenario. But. As I mentioned before. The name AND objectives of the charity bother me. "Families Need Fathers"? No. Families NEED Responsible, loving parents, and the child needs to be put first. Before any petty fall outs between parents, and definitely before any abusive parent. I'm sorry, but that's not the vibe I'm getting from FNF. At all.
