Has radical feminist critique of vaginal intercourse had any impact on you?

Have any of you been so swayed by it that you've given up penetrative sex as a consequence?

I never use the term "foreplay"

Penetration is not the be-all and end-all for us

In fact, I would say about half the term there is none when we have sex

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 19/04/2011 12:04

Sheesh HerBEggs :( Angry

Yes it's a cruel trick that names all the other kinds of sex as "foreplay", as if they only count if PIV happens afterwards. This is why I never know how many people I've "had sex" with, exactly. I mean - what counts?

HerBEggs · 19/04/2011 11:13

Yes it is actually a genuinely interesting subject.

I was shocked to find recently that a friend of mine has practically never had what she calls "foreplay".

Her appalling husband perfunctorily kisses her, might kiss her nipples for 30 seconds or so, and immediately penetrates her.

And she is younger than me FGS.

It's like the sexual revolution never happened.

SpringchickenGoldBrass · 19/04/2011 11:09

Bah, I was hoping for an interesting discussion on the subject. Because it's an interesting subject (I'm with HerBeggs on this bascially - PIV is fine but not the only thing worth doing with a playmate).

tee hee, it's a pity we can't send the MRAs over to the porn thread where the pornites are slagging off men (All Men Use Porn, All Men Are Liars etc). They are wasting their time on Feminism, really. I think next time we get MRAs on here we should point them to those posts.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 19/04/2011 10:56

I wonder what happened to him to get him like that.

I just wanted to point out to the men's rights activists that they're probably all shit in bed.

Different brain would be a bit harder though. He'll be spotted in no time.

EggyFucker · 18/04/2011 23:24

nothing prevents them from coming back with a different name, basically

nope, can't be arsed

a bit bored of the deliberate wind-ups, tbh

HerBEggs · 18/04/2011 23:16

To answer your question in good faith, radical feminist critique of vaginal intercourse has resulted in me knowing that penetrative sex isn't the be all and end all of sex and has therefore resulted in me having fuck-loads more orgasms when I go to bed with a bloke because I tell him I don't want to get straight into fucking.

I certainly wouldn't give up penetrative sex though - it's great as part of a repertoire. On its own without all the other sex though (which mainstream media tends to call "foreplay" Hmm) it would be dull.

Perhaps Femtastic is Matthew Wright? He LOVES to slate MN in the mornings.

AnnieLobePassoverSeder · 16/04/2011 11:07

I didn't mean you femtastic, I meant the other troll.

has there ever been a genuine feminist poster with a name like 'Femtastic'? There was one called 'Feministpride' in January who did something similar.

sorry Femtastic, I am too suspicious of your motives to engage with you because of the way you keep starting threads on controversial subjects then not returning to them.

You may be genuine in which case I apologise for being unfriendly, but we have lots of trolls on here which makes us suspicious and this is a strange way to engage.

If you have a simple motive eg if you're a student looking for material for a dissertation then just say so, you will most likely find people happy to help.

I'm going to say no..............

Or how would we produce more fem-bots...............

Presumably get some filthy 'man-juice' from a regulated, gentle women's clinic whence it had been screened for any rogue Y chromosomes.....
