Sorry DM but here.

This guy's girlfriend refused sex, he stumbled into another room "by accident" and started having sex with the woman in the bed there.

He was cleared of rape.

There is so much wrong with this that I don't know where to start. I imagine he's been cleared because he didn't intend (apparently) to commit a crime. But the fact is that neither woman had consented to sex with him, so whoever he decided to penetrate it would have been rape. He seems to have been cleared on the grounds that if he had walked back into his (non-consenting) girlfriend's room and penetrated her without further ado, that would not have been rape. It obviously would have been.

:( scared and Angry all at once.

I'm so so sorry, and so angry, about what happened to you BrokenGirl11.
Please talk about it as much as you want, we won't think you're going on.

BrokenGirl11 · 02/03/2011 15:01

I will ask the lady that is coming to see me tomorrow. they said they can help move me away from here i already had to move from my last address because he found out where it was and paid someone to brick all my windows but my new house i made into a nice little home and just wanted justic and to move on i wanted him named and shamed women to see how much of a monster he is but for me there is no justice. So i think i will have to leave and try to start again somewhere eles. I cant stop thinking how did he walk away when my case was so strong and only should have went my way. I see him laughing right now. Im just so sad so low i wont keep going on sorry..

I agree with you Prolesworth, its a shame Englebert used it to raise her own cause instead of concentrating on the obvious fuck up the OP has endured thanks to our legal system.

hating the section of society known as "women" certainly is mainstream

I'm sorry but that is complete and utter bollocks

joeking · 02/03/2011 14:07

no no no no no, that is a piss poor effort.....I suggested "ALL violence against women and children", not just "all violence".

Alice, I think complete anonimity for alleged victim/perpetrator until a charge of guilty is found would be a great help as it would take a lot of pressure off the police and lead to more cases coming to court. Also previous charges should be taken into consideration before the jury reaches a verdict as offenders are often serial offenders and previous behaviour must be a considered factor.

aliceliddell · 02/03/2011 14:03

well, joeking, hating the section of society known as "women" certainly is mainstream. that's why at least 2 women a week are killed by men. and 1 in 4 are subject to domestic violence. and 1 in 5 to sexual violence. welcome to our world.
