Talk of the Town by Ardal O'Hanlon. I wept uncontrollably with laughter through the first half. Second half was a wee bit darker.

Adrian Mole, all of them
Diary if a wimpy kid series
The Charlie and lola book by Lauren child which is about not wanting to share. At the end Lola says "You can share my peas Charlie. I don't like peas".
Do not read any Further, Do not read or else and other one in series by Pat Moon.
Mrs Murphy Hires a Cleaner by Kath Kincaid, very funny, lovely happy ending, all lose ends tied up. IMO would be good film or series for TV.

I second Deric Longden autobiographies-especially when talking about his mum.

Everything I've read of Tim Moore's. Frost On My Moustache in particular still makes me practically puke from laughing too hard, and I must have read it ten times.

The White Boy Shuffle, by Paul Beatty.

Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady - Florence King.

Mondayschild · 25/05/2010 22:44

Billy Liar on the Moon - Keith Waterhouse. Also all of the Adrian Mole books when I was younger.

A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz - one of my recent bestest reads.

The tent, the bucket and me by Emma Kennedy -confirms exactly why I shall never go camping

Behind the scenes at the museum by Kate Atkinson - my favourite book ever, a true original
