Once again, a need a book-inspired fancy dress costume please.

Any ideas for something easy but a bit quirky?

How easy would Lady Macbeth be for instance?

Any more ideas very gratefully received!

Miss Havisham has a certain gothic charm that Miss Marple lacks though!

Oh I don't know. Something a bit unusual but that won't involve sewing or shopping ideally.

Lady Macbeth before she puts her nightgown on is a possibility (ie in long mediaeval type thing). Miss Havisham maybe. Nothing too 'obvious' but something that keeps me covered, without looking old and ugly and frumpy.

Yes, even if you're a teacher dressing up in front of teenagers you still want to look mildly attractive I think but hard to think of heroines who are not girlish.

What about Sweet Thursday or Mrs Morales?

Or Aunt Ada Doom!!

Arghh - don't mention red shoes. It gave me nightmares for years! Would be a good costume though.

Miss Marple sounds fun! Or Miss Moneypenny maybe?

Believe me, a belt under my bust would so not be a good thing!
