I was thinking of starting a book club on here for people who are keen readers. I normally read true life memoirs like 'My Sisters Keeper'.

I was thinking we could choose a book to read. Allow a couple of weeks to read it, then when you have finished, come on here to discuss thoughts etc...

Anyone interested let me know asap! Just finished a book and want to start a new one!

Hi everyone!
So how are you all doing with your TTC?
The deadline is Sunday so if you havnt finished you need to put aside the housework and get reading girls!!!

Finished Tiger's Child. Has an interim read been decided on?

Cybermum · 04/06/2005 13:41

Finished TC!

What about a second book? I'm happy to try Patrica Cornwell if that's what we all agree.

weesaidie · 04/06/2005 11:58

Nemo1977 - hey, just got Tigers Child, thanks so much for sending me it!

dizzymama · 02/06/2005 20:53

Ermm, now you're asking! I think I've read black notice but not the other two. Don't think they're all Kay Scarpetta though and those are the best by far!Quite willing to branch out though

wendy33 · 02/06/2005 19:14

Hi DizzyMama
What are Black Notice - The Last Precinct and Blow Fly about?
Im not sure which ones I have read?

dizzymama · 31/05/2005 20:09

Finished too. Let me know your interim read! Love Patricia Cornwall

wendy33 · 31/05/2005 19:30

Hi Rockydog.
Sorry you cant carry on with the book club. We are going to still keep with the month deadline but others who read more due to having more time are going to read a book in between. Let me know if you change your mind.

Any chance I can join in on the next new book that you all read ??

Louise1980 · 31/05/2005 19:17

God I havnt even started it yet! Must get a move on!

Milliways · 31/05/2005 15:40

Finished!

Maybe if we all post when we have finished, we could start discussion/next book earlier than 1 month if suitable?

Rockydog · 31/05/2005 08:05

Sorry but I have to pull out of this club.

Cheers.

weesaidie · 30/05/2005 20:39

Nemo1977 · 30/05/2005 20:23

weesadie if u want i can send u my copy..just cat me

weesaidie · 30/05/2005 20:23

I haven't started TC yet as am very broke but I am planning on getting it this week, I am a fast reader so I could easily do more than 1 month.

Still some people don't have time so I am happy to go with one a month... however if you read another I will certainly see if I can too!

Nemo1977 · 30/05/2005 20:17

ive just started a book called out of the darkness about a woman suffering depression.jury is still out on whether or not its a good read

Cybermum · 30/05/2005 20:06

Yes!!

I've almost finished TC and am going away tomorrow for a couple of days - an excellent reading opportunity

Must admit I'm not too enthusiastic about Patrica Cornwell don't know why as I've never read any of her books. That sounds a bit prejudiced!! Perhaps you could convince me.

In my cupboard I have Shadow of the Wind (I wonder why?), Angels and Demons (but you've probably all read that one).

Any other ideas out there?

wendy33 · 30/05/2005 19:18

Hi

Anyone up for a read of a different book while we wait for the others to read TTC?

Please say yes!

I have a Patricia Cornwell waiting in my wardrobe begging to be read!
