I went in five charity shops today and I saw Tony Parson's 'Man and Boy' in every single one!

You used to see loads of Doctor Who paperbacks, but again the collectors have now got wise to this and snapped them up...

Hard cover autobiographies/ biographies of obscure (to me anyway) football players. Usually proudly displayed in the window as a star product.

moondog · 11/07/2009 14:27

'The Moon's a Balloon' (David Bleeding Niven's smug memoir) was ubiquitous throughoult late 80s and early 90s.I would regularly check out charity shops to confirm suspicion that each was accessorised by at least one copy.

I burnt my Gina Ford. Didn't want to suject anyone else to her lunacy.

I always seem to spot Ulrika-ka-ka's autobiography.

I also look out for recurring cd's - mostly those D/Mail freebies it seems.
