My dad actully calls DH Edward, he has done so for years (his name is Adam) but my dad has this daft habbit of giving people totally unrealated nicknames!

My sisters boyfriend is Ryan, but my dad calls him Harry

I laugh every time he calls him Edward now!

I understand where your friend is coming from.
It's cruel of Ms Meyer to provide such and ideal man / boy / geriatric (depending on your point of view!) when all we have are mortals!

I lent all mine to my friend last week, and she is on book three too.

and she is claiming that her DH now does not live up to expectations so I may be named in her divorce petition

altho, she is going to have to fight me, and flame, and her mate to get to edward before she can consider divorce!
