Currently half way (ish) through, but still not really sure what I make of it.

It feels like a bit of a slog, but also I’m quite keen to find out what happens.

Did anyone feel them same? Or did you love/hate it?

I think I quite liked it but I have no memory of any of the plot.

I thought the lies you told was quite readable.

managed to get to the end of witch trial, but it did make me fancy a break from crime/thriller books.

Dreadful. I listened to the audio book in the car which was even more painful.

I really liked it until it got to the “twist” at the end which I thought was pointless and stupid. I enjoy witchy stuff, and am Scottish so liked the Edinburgh setting. Weirdly I just recommended it to someone the other day despite reading it back around Easter so it’s clearly still on my radar.

I do agree with pp that I haven’t liked her other books except Blood Orange though.

I thought it was absolutely dreadful. I just did not care one bit about any of it and by the time I’d dragged myself to the finish line, I could not remember a single thing that had happened or how it ended. Just rubbish.

To be honest, she has actually only written one book that I enjoyed - Blood Orange - so I don’t really know why I keep reading them.
