I'm reading the Cazalet Chronicles and am up to the 4th book. Rupert is home from France and twice it has mentioned a baby with Miche. Just drops it in and then nothing more. He recollects that she tells him to go after he has seen the child (at the very end of book 3 and middle of book 4, same wording) . But then nothing more. I'm confused and Google can't help. What child? Is it his and why doesn't Zoe ask more? I don't get it I keep back reading incase I've missed something
