Graphic novel recommendations please

I'm currently really enjoying Persepolis, and a while ago I read Maus which I thought was brilliant too

So I would just love recommendations for other graphic novels?

I like quite a variety of books, anything from funny, thought provoking, informative. I think probably the only genre I don't like is horror/thrillers.

It may not be what you're after but Thorn Hill by Pam Smy really got to me and stayed with ne for ages. It tells the story through a mixture of images and words. I desperately wanted to recommend it to one of my year sixes who's an exceptionally emotionally intelligent reader but there are a couple of themes in there that meant I really couldn't.

Also Locke & Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez really grabbed me as well as Runaways by Brian K Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore.

I really like Watchmen. It's a superhero-based alternate history story which is both a satire on superhero tropes as well as a morality story. Fair warning that as it plays with superhero storylines its quite violent in places.

If you have come across a Rivers of London I like those graphic novels, but I think you need to read/ know the books first for them to make sense.
