I need a new audiobook ๐Ÿ˜€

I like them long, like 30 hours long, bonus points if itโ€™s part of a series I can get in to.

have recently read/listened to Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Strike collection, Fourth Wing collection, all of the Sarah J Mass, The Goldfinch, things like that

thanks!

The son by Phillip Meyer. Three narrators, three time periods same family.

Kind of a pre Yellowstone (but nothing to do with Yellowstone)

It was recommended on here and I listened during my lockdown walks.

The Outlander series, all over 50 hours long and there are nine of them.

Davina Porter the narrator is brilliant as well.

The Lord of the Rings series of books and The Hobbit all narrated by Andy Serkis (who plays Gollum in the films) are excellent. They're available on Borrow Box for free

Have you tried the Cazalet Chronicles series by Elizabeth Jane Howard? They follow the lives of an upper middle class English family from pre war to the late 50s. Warts and all!
edited to add if you do get sucked in, I suggest you swerve the final one, which I felt was a last ditch money grab before the author died. More plot holes than Swiss cheese!

Mick Herron, the many Slough House/Slow Horses novels.

London by Edward Rutherfordโ€ฆ..there are many of them in the series, but London remains my favourite. Paris was good too and Iโ€™m just waiting to find the right time to start the one about the New Forest.

I am listening to Kasuo Ishiguro Never Let Me Go at the moment. I loved Remains of the Day read by Dominic West. It was so calming yet gripping.

The CJ Sansom Shardlake series, each book is 12-14 hours long, and I think there are 6 of them.

The Pillars of the Earth Ken Follet is also really long.

Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart is really long and although not part of a series you could follow it up by Young Mungo. These are not for the faint hearted but I loved them.

The Covenant of Water Abraham Verghese is 31 hours long.

Happy listening.

The earth's children series by Jean M Auel, story about a cro magnon girl living in the prehistoric ice age on audible. Great stories to listen on a long car journey.

I enjoyed the Tenant of Wildfell Hall and the Woman in White both of which were pretty long

How about The Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley?

One I listen to repeatedly is A Woman In Berlin, which is the diary of a german woman trapped in Berlin as the Russian soldiers came in during WW2. Lots of violence and sexual violence, but fascinating.

Also Bridget Jones, and the Slow Horses series by Mick Herron. Oh, and Girl With a Dragon Tattoo!

I see youโ€™ve listened to the Goldfinch. Have you also tried The Secret History, also by Donna Tartt? Thatโ€™s excellent and pretty long too!
