Funny book for sick friend

Help please finding a good funny book, light reading for a friend with cancer. No mention of death or illness and nothing preachy about life etc. Finding it really difficult to choose when all the chicklit books have titles like "time of your life" etc. Thank you

P J O'Rourke 'Bachelor's Home Companion' is fab. The photos make me howl with laughter.

My go to funny books are by Kristen Bailey- has anyone seen my sex life? Pure escapism and hilarious. I re-read them when I’m sad. Would avoid for someone really prudish though!
