I've missed out on two now. I quite like the idea, anyone else?

Ok crocodrillo, thanks for answering

Cocodrillo · 28/07/2008 22:45

Sorry HJ, we have been going for some time. You could always set one up? There still seems to be quite a lot of interest.

hughjarssss · 28/07/2008 17:37

Hi, I'm new to MN but would like to get involved in book swaping, am I too late?

FlossieTCake · 28/07/2008 17:34

I've read all the ones that I've had so far - the only one I was strongly tempted to give up on was the one I received first, and somehow that was psychologically "too difficult" for me (giving up so early, I mean, not the book - although possibly could say that too!!).

I've had five books - from lunavix, Flame, TheMadHouse, PsychoMum and (mystery, possibly whispy). Rosmerta, completely forgot today was the 28th... will try and put in the post tomorrow.

rosmerta · 28/07/2008 16:06

I think I gave up on a couple of books as well , wonder if we've not read the same ones?!

Flamesparrow · 28/07/2008 08:39

Jane Eyre. It will not beat me, even if it takes me 10,000 more attempts!

Psychomum5 · 28/07/2008 08:36

coco....flame is absolutely determined to never ever give up on a book, and so far (and I have known her nigh on 7yrs now) she has plowed thro each and every one she has got!!!

she is better then me......I find life is too short to continue with a book that does not catch my interest after the first couple of chapters. it does not mean it is a bad book tho, sometimes it is just that I am not in the right frame of mind for that type of story.

I will admit tho that I have not been able to complete two of the books so far.

Cocodrillo · 28/07/2008 08:19

I gave up on two of them

Flamesparrow · 28/07/2008 08:11

Yup. I am stubborn I started so I could read different books so want to see it through, but I'm intrigued about everyone else

Cocodrillo · 28/07/2008 08:08

Have you?

Flamesparrow · 28/07/2008 08:05

How many of us have read every book so far?

Cocodrillo · 28/07/2008 07:29

when did you last get sent a book, swampie? How many have you had so far? Six should have gone out to each person now (Feb to July), snd we're due our 7th in August.

Cocodrillo · 28/07/2008 07:27

thanks psycho

I will pencil in your name before posting it on.

I seem to remember from a thread ages ago that you have a really beautiful and unusual first name...

Flossie, I think the book you've just read is most likely to be Whispy's. We're reading them slightly out of the order they were first posted in (somehow).

I've been trying to work out whose is who's from what people have said on the swap threads, plus a small number of people told me which title they were posting in an advance...

swampster · 27/07/2008 23:22

Still waiting for mine .

FlossieTCake · 27/07/2008 22:57

Hurray, now I know where to write too

Does that mean the one I have just finished was whispy's?

Psychomum5 · 27/07/2008 22:34

if it is a hard back and features a teenager then it is mine!!

altho I thought I put my name in mine....not sure, I may not have (or I may have put my RL name in and it begins with an A!!)

Cocodrillo · 27/07/2008 22:17

I have just finished the book with the initials BID. Started it on Thursday, so I have raced through it, it was really gripping.
I have spent some time trying to work out who sent it, and I've wittled it down (I think) to either Whispy or Psycho.

Which one of you does this book belong to so I can do my write-up?

Psychomum5 · 26/07/2008 10:58

I have my books

came home to a 'missed parcel' card and have just been this morning when we dropped off DD2 to scout summer camp.

both look fab books and the type I like so am goona have to now book a day to read them!

I might just have to sunbathe too......

rosmerta · 25/07/2008 17:58

Yep, I was a fan of the big print as well!

Cocodrillo · 25/07/2008 17:30

Got my book Rosmerta, thank you!

It's a right good rollicking read. If not the most cheerful.

Am about halfway through already. Big print helps!

Flamesparrow · 24/07/2008 20:22

Psycho's been away on and off so she might have to collect them from sorting office.

I've finished my book so will send on

Cocodrillo · 22/07/2008 22:55

rosmerta · 22/07/2008 21:17

Thanks cocodrillo. Hope things are good with our readers this morning. We've got blue skies this morning, which is nice. And dd is at grandma's so I get to read my book in peace! AH!

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope all the baby bumps in the group are doing well.
