I think we're going to have to say that if you haven't posted your book to arrive by the 15th, then you're out. Otherwise it's not fair on the other members of the Book Circle.

Coco - lie-in?? Fat chance. DS1 had a chess match so was up at 6:30. I didn't finish work til 10:30 on Fri so wasn't home til midnight, hence late night (it's OK - it was expected - I went in at 3:30 knowing it would be late!).

Glad you've had yours, rosmerta - I couldn't find any packing tape so had to use regular sellotape, and am always slightly paranoid that parcels improperly wrapped in that manner are going to snag on some vital piece of postal conveying equipment and explode...

Been swamped like never before - it all happened at once - buying and selling a house/flat for my mum, dealing with lawyers, estate agents, surveyors, movers, builders, skip hire, utilities etc. because cos she won't/can't do it herself. Haven't finished my book but LOVING it so I ordered a second hand copy from Amazon to be sent on to missingtheaction - (I hope it has arrived). Dinny, I will get your copy back to you if you would prefer it and it survives my tortured current existence.

Coco, I'm so sorry, I asked dh to post it from work & he's now told me its been sat on his desk for the last week! I'll nag & nag him tomorrow to make sure its sent!

squilly, we're waiting to see if everyone's still in. If anyone's dropped out, there may well be a place for you. Spiderbabymum is top of the waiting list, you're second.

Can you sign up to these things late, or do you have to catch them before the minimum number of readers is hooked in?

I'd love to do this and I read like a mad woman (most of the time!), so would be able to pass on books quite easily. I'm also an avid car booter, so I buy lots of ooks, usually in great condition, and often cheaply, which means I'm really NOt precious about getting them back.

I guess I'm asking, am I too late to join?????

I'll be disappointed if we've only managed a month before the whole thing's come crashing down.

Its not because I didn't want to, I got caught up in something else & it completely slipped my mind! I've started it now though & am enjoying it. Coco, I don't think I'll be able to send it tomorrow but will the weekend be ok? sorry
