Dancing to the Pipers by Kate Fenton. It's very light, but entertaining. Or if you want something more seasonal The Woman in Black by Susan Hill.

Have you tried any of those Philippa Gregory books (eg The Boleyn Inheritance) - they are def. light and easy, real page turners
Or I've just read a fab book - Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell - not light exactly but divided into short sections so quite easy to read - I loved it.

I've given up doing that as I read about 3 sentences then fall asleep only to try again the next day, read the same 3 sentences, fall asleep. Get the picture?

I only read in bed for about 2 pages though ! just felt like having something that isn't a book group choice for a bit !!

No suggestions, but am impressed you will have the time to read a book over christmas. WHat with all my guests, parties, eating etc etc I doubt I will have the time nor energy to pick up a book.
