..read Skin Privelege?

I don't want to give anything away to those clicking here who haven't read it yet, but I finished it a few days ago, and am still .

Anyone else know what I'm saying?

Fans of Karin's absolutely must read this book now!

StealthPolarBear · 20/09/2007 14:09

Was that a yes please to the book or the flapjack?
Is that why you're called Kewcumber - you live near Kew?

[thick]

Kewcumber · 20/09/2007 14:03

StealthPolarBear · 20/09/2007 11:03

I have it! Does anyone want it when I've finished?
Can I come round if you have cake Kewcumber? I'll bring some brownies?

Sidge · 19/09/2007 12:48

Oh all right then.

Will you have cake?

Kewcumber · 19/09/2007 12:35

no you can only come if you sit at my feet and gaze in wonder.

Sidge · 19/09/2007 10:44

ROFL at Kewcumber!

Can I come round for a coffee when she is hanging out at yours then? Please? Pretty please?? I promise not to sit at her feet and gaze at her in wonder

Kewcumber · 19/09/2007 10:21

[preen] Me and Kathy, we're like that

Sidge · 18/09/2007 22:41

Kewcumber- you've impressed me!! I love Kathy Reichs' books. Would love to hear her talk.

But am not a fan of KS - couldn't get into them at all. Sorry

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2007 22:13

I won it on ebay!
Hopefully will get it by Thursday and then should have it read over the weekend, does anyone want it next for £4 inc P&P? Will post on Monday 1st class (assuming I do get it on Thursday)

barbamama · 18/09/2007 20:31

rosmerta · 18/09/2007 17:53

slayerette · 18/09/2007 17:46

Has anyone seen the Friends episode where Joey's talking in 'code' about The Shining but gives away the entire plot to Rachel anyway? I might do that...

rosmerta · 18/09/2007 17:45

Its HP all over again

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2007 17:43

slayerette please don't - I won;t be able to reist clicking on it and ruining the surprise

mylittlefreya · 18/09/2007 17:37

I'm impressed kewcumber, and a touch jealous.

I've just finished Triptych from the library. Was good to read something different from her... but a bit too predictable.

slayerette · 18/09/2007 17:37

I can't believe how she ended Skin Privilege - I was so . Can't those of us who have read it start a thread clearly marked 'spoilers' so we can discuss it properly? I want to know what direction you think she'll take things now - and, although I've read the letter on her website, was doing what she did really necessary?

tegan · 18/09/2007 17:32

dh is currently reading blindsighted and thoroughly enjoying it.

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2007 17:20

i know - i've asked to swap one but they've not got back to me yet!

rosmerta · 18/09/2007 16:58

thanks sbp, obviously brain not working correctly today! I've registered so will have to find some books I don't mind giving up! Btw, I checked and SP is in their library...

rosmerta · 18/09/2007 16:57

Me too [impressed emoticon]

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2007 16:54

Kewcumber, I'm impressed

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2007 16:53

no, you can request to swap, just find the book you want and click the link
You can try it out on me if you like - you have the option to cancel a swap too. When you swap you keep the books, or as most people do, make them active when you've read them so they are available to swap onwards iyswim.

Kewcumber · 18/09/2007 16:45

love Rebus but that no-one is impressed by me meeting Kathy Reichs
