He’s the Postman Pat of detectives but we love him.

A woman will feature. Then slip from his grasp/turn out to be a villain/turn out to be a man/move up north.

Oh excellent! I don’t think the last one was ending-y, it’s just the start of Edward’s reign! There are two more Tudors after him!

"My name is Matthew Shardlake and everything is my fault"

ConsistentInsomniac · 17/05/2018 17:05

This news has just made my day. Thanks, OP!

ElspethFlashman · 17/05/2018 17:04

Oh thank god, I was so depressed after the last one. "Hello, my names Matthew Shardlake and I'm not allowed a single happy thought in my whole life. Ever."

Slim to zero chance of a woman, I'd say, since he keeps banging on about how old he is and c. S. Sansom is a confirmed bachelor anyway and doesn't seem to think it's important.

DramaAlpaca · 17/05/2018 16:57

Oh good! Can't wait.

BertrandRussell · 17/05/2018 16:56

But the last one was quite ending-y, wasn't it? I wonder where this one will go?

BertrandRussell · 17/05/2018 16:55

Yay!

Dandeliontea123 · 17/05/2018 16:54

Aaaaaaarghhhhhh!!! How exciting. I am way too invested in Matthew Shardlake and the Tudor intrigues. Hope this time round he finds a good woman! Grin

SatsukiKusakabe · 17/05/2018 14:52

That’s great news! Heard he was ill and wasn’t sure we would be getting another. Hope it means his health is on the up too.

twirlywho · 17/05/2018 14:07

Oh wow thanks for this info.

Clawdy · 17/05/2018 14:06

That is brilliant news!

Weepingwillows12 · 17/05/2018 12:30

Ooh that's exciting! I thought he had given up on Shardlake
