oooh good question muminbrum! Difficult as he starts teenage.....NOT daniel radcliffe ha ha!

Enid · 29/03/2007 11:16

She said she was starting a book about patrick and iris especially for me.

I wonder which one it was...

MuminBrum · 29/03/2007 11:11

OMG!! I had forgotten all about Patrick P and now it's all coming back to me. I had the most gigantic hots for him when I read those books - must have been 12 or 13. It's true that no real-life man could ever, ever hope to live up to the expectations created by PP in the adolescent female. Who would play him in a film?

IdrisTheDragon · 29/03/2007 11:08

I am investigating abe books.

hoxtonchick · 29/03/2007 11:03

must find these again. loved them.

sunnysideup · 29/03/2007 10:56

exactly Franny, who could ever compare?

Had a rather restless night troubled by strange dreams.

Enid · 29/03/2007 10:36

I wrote to her

when I was 12

and she wrote back

IdrisTheDragon · 29/03/2007 10:34

I think I need to read the Pennington books, don't I?

FrannyandZooey · 29/03/2007 09:32

Ah SSU I expect you managed in the end...

get to the back of the queue, I have had my eye on Patrick P for quite some time

however do you think we should write to KMP and tell her we blame all our relationship difficulties on the fact that no man can ever live up to PP?

oh my goodness, thought I was the only one still hanging onto my Pennington books - Patrick Pennington the love of my life! Hands off him everyone. Re-read them very recently..... How i have ALWAYS felt cheated in my life because I have never met that piano playing musical genuis/prodigy with violent tendencies and enigmatic 'communication' skills.....shan't be able to sleep tonight now

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 22:50

they should have copies in Ann Summers

"vibrators"

"scratchy pants"

"Pennington books"

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:10

You are welcome

Everybody go and order Fly By Night. It is so wonderful. And if you want to cut straight to the chase and need some manly sensitivity then buy Pennington's Seventeenth Summer.

elasticbandstand · 28/03/2007 20:50

weren't they for teenagers?

IdrisTheDragon · 28/03/2007 20:50

I can't remember much about Dear Fred, having read it when I was a teenager I think, from the library. Have a vague idea there was some sex in it somewhere. And horses. But not at the same time.
