I thought maybe we should have a thread where if someone sees a kindle deal that they think is really good for a book they have read they could recommend here. That way we can pick up new book recommendations at cheaper prices and grow our to be read list

NCTPRITECTTHE INNOCENT I loved both books they were very good , wouldn't have recommended them if I didn't think they were good , I had them in my watch list and managed to read them 3 weeks ago , after reading the 1st I looked for more from the same author lol
Then went to the next , brilliant writing SmileSmile

NCToProtectTheInnocent1 · 09/04/2016 19:50

Hey, Jackiekatu, those are my books! Thank you for that.

I've name changed though no doubt I'll slip up and write something incriminating under my other name. If you recognise my normal name, please don't put it on here.

In the last few months I've got an agent and some deals - UK, US, Russia, Germany and Poland so far. I've put my other two books on for free today, because I was talking to women at a book club yesterday and didn't want them to have to pay for them. They'll go back to £1.99 tomorrow (if I've set it right!)

Mary Torjussen, My Time, Your Time

Mary Torjussen, The Lonely Cool Before Dawn

Mariana by Susanna Kearsley is 99p on kindle. One of my absolute all time favourites. A lovely "time slip" novel and well worth a go.

southeastdweller · 09/04/2016 13:24

Alan Bennett's superb book, Writing Home, is just 99p at the moment.

jackiekatu · 09/04/2016 11:40

The lonely cool before dawn and my time , your time both are £0 .00 today , really good books

AmIbeingTreasonable · 30/03/2016 20:20

I have a Kobo and read the free library books all the time Grin

redhat · 30/03/2016 17:27

You can download to a kindle fire using overdrive for those who have a kindle fire

Matilda2013 · 30/03/2016 16:32

The Girl who Saved the King of Sweden is a fantastic book.

redhat · 30/03/2016 12:14

Does nobody get ebooks from their library for free? Confused Ive just read the girl in the red coat (for free) and am now starting The Bees (for free). All you need is the free blue fire app or the free one click app for audiobooks.

clarz · 30/03/2016 12:11

I know I'm becoming a bit of a fiend for these kindle deals but thought I would share today's daily deal which I am looking forward to getting stuck into! This book The Women of Lilac Street by Annie Murray which is tale set in Birmingham (where I live) after the Great War.

Groovee · 29/03/2016 15:14

This is a freebie www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007YFXS9Y/

Arcadia · 27/03/2016 16:31

Half of a yellow sun. £1.99 in Amazon today. Amazing, one of the best books I have ever read! Get it!

GetHappy · 26/03/2016 20:17

Agree I love the accident have also read The Lie by the same author and enjoyed that too

mrsdolittle · 26/03/2016 20:04

The Accident by CL Taylor is 99p on kindle. A cracking psychological thriller - would highly recommend it

GetHappy · 26/03/2016 18:52

I loved The Help - recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it.

I hated We are all completely beside ourselves.

AdventuresOfADentist · 25/03/2016 09:02

Today you can get several Michael Morpurgo books, including Private Peaceful which was made into a film.

southeastdweller · 24/03/2016 19:19

The Help is £1.99. I enjoyed the film but the book is even better.

jackiekatu · 24/03/2016 19:07

Our endless numbered days is £1.99 today

Dunlurking · 23/03/2016 12:49

Wolf Border by Sarah Hall for 99p, or has someone already posted it? Just in time for the webchat tonight!

clarz · 23/03/2016 09:52

SilverMachine - We are all completely beside ourselves is really great. I just bought Precious Thing by Colette McBeth which I am hoping will be fairly similar. This is a story of two estranged childhood friends....

Laquila · 22/03/2016 21:51

Thanks LBOCS - I'm not averse to YA but the kindle deals ones can be a bit hit and miss...

RobberBride · 22/03/2016 21:44

Free one - Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (or am I the only one who never got round to reading it?) www.amazon.co.uk/Girl-Dragon-Tattoo-Millennium-Book-ebook/dp/B002RI9ZQ8

Matilda2013 · 22/03/2016 21:20

I'm trying to avoid this thread and Amazon at the moment! Plenty to be read at the moment Smile

LBOCS2 · 22/03/2016 20:59

I've read it laquila - it's quite light (YA sci fi). Not the best that I've read but probably worth it as a cheapy.
