Didn't think it was boring!

I've struggled with Dodger though.

Grin I know fish, I think we X posted.

Anyone else divide up a boring task like Mort? (No specific spoilers!!)

iklboo · 15/05/2014 21:41

Sorry, COM & Light Fantastic aren't the best. Love Guards! Guards! and Watch books generally pretty good, Soul Music is not bad, Wyrd Sisters & The Witches books.....

HavantGuard · 15/05/2014 21:39

I hate Rincewind. I'd say Guards! Guards! as well.

Fishandjam · 15/05/2014 21:39

I was agreeing with you juniper Grin

Yes, start with Guards guards and then read all the 'sets' in order, witches, wizards, death.

There's a chart online, hang on.

Good Omens

JuniperTisane · 15/05/2014 21:37

Because it's the first in the Watch series of books and it's the funniest and most accessible of them.

Fishandjam · 15/05/2014 21:37

Or yes, Guards! Guards!

Fishandjam · 15/05/2014 21:36

I personally wouldn't start at the beginning. Colour Of Magic and The Light Fantastic are not his best IMO.

Going Postal could be a good one? Or Mort.

JuniperTisane · 15/05/2014 21:35

Start with Guards,Guards.

iklboo · 15/05/2014 21:34

If you want to start at the very beginning of the Discworld series - and some of the 'in jokes' do carry on through then The Colour of Magic is the first one.

Or try Good Omens - Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett
