bresha · 13/11/2006 17:17

il have it if you dont mind
i have never read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
been told its good though

kipper22 · 13/11/2006 15:15

Hi, thought I'd try here first as I know you all enjoy reading! At the weekend, I was given a copy of The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold as a gift. When I left work to have Charlie, I was given a copy of The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold as a gift. Shortly before that I read a copy from the library! A fantastic book but, since there are only so many times I can read it, would anybody like my spare copy? I'll post it along with bumbleweeds book if somebody responds in the next couple of hours.

bresha · 13/11/2006 11:16

Hello every one
Sorry iv not posted on this thread for a ages, I am still here though, post mine 2 day dewmeadow
Reading back it sounds like this is coming 2 an end? I hope not,I still wont 2 carry on
iv really enjoyed this,
I don?t mind what happens 2 my book, but I would love 2 do another of theses, id be happy 2 start a smaller group of about 6, a smaller group would be easier 2 keep track of

kickassangel · 13/11/2006 09:47

i know today is posting day, but i've nearly, but not quite, finished my book. wasn't allowed to read this weekend,as my in laws were here, so will read & post by the end of the week, is that ok, fullmoon?

PanicPants · 10/11/2006 21:17

Thanks Peachy, I'll look forward to receiving it.

I've really enjoyed this, and would definitly be up for being in the new one, if someone is brave enough to start it!

nikkie · 10/11/2006 18:43

This was a good idea but I agree may be easier to organise on a smaller scale!
(am not volunteering BTW!)

PeachyClair · 09/11/2006 19:52

Well mine has been posted- I ahd been waiting to recieve but gave up on that. haven't had one for what seems like months now

bumbleweed · 09/11/2006 19:15

I'm not too bothered about getting my book back - its good that its been recycled so many times already. I think this was really well arranged, but yes possibly a smaller circle if it was done again.

UCM · 09/11/2006 15:38

Oh Gawd, sorry if I sounded like that. I am not doing another one.....ever. I tried to spring/land it on Mars but she wasn't having any of it either

MarsLady · 09/11/2006 13:32

So Monday is the posting date? Excellent! I've read one gotta read the other now and try and do the almost impossible... post on time to kipper! The only one I managed to post on time got lost in the post However, onwards and upwards!

FrannyandZooey · 09/11/2006 13:23

Erm...........no

(btw UCM I did not mean to criticise the way this one has been organised, you have done a fab job. Just thinking maybe next time try something slightly different, for a change?)

UCM · 09/11/2006 08:47

Perhaps you could start organising one now Franny

OP posts:
FrannyonFire · 08/11/2006 21:48

I don't mind whether I get mine back or not, it could go to charity if the final recipient does not want it

(I did like the book but have too many books already)

I would be up for doing another one of these in the New Year, perhaps? Maybe a smaller circle, with a theme, or something like that?

kickassangel · 08/11/2006 21:44

whilst i would welcome my book back as a much travelled (and battered) friend, i deliberately chose something that i could afford to lose (emotionally).

kipper22 · 06/11/2006 12:24

aaaarrrrgh! that was on stage and the end of all this!

kipper22 · 06/11/2006 12:23

just to say i'm still really enjoying this too! thanks ucm! we need to work out how to get you up o stage for a bow and a big bouquet of flowers at the end of all tis - do you have the speech written?

UCM · 05/11/2006 18:56

In my earlier post it looks like I said as long as I get my book back. I don't actually care if I get it back either, it's just that I will know we have gone round the circle.

OP posts:
nikkie · 05/11/2006 18:45

WB- I don't blame you for the books getting lost, I've had it with the PO before.I haven't sent any recorded either don't know hy its happened now.

I'm another one not bothered about getting myu book back.

UCM · 05/11/2006 12:45

Well if everyone can sort out between themselves, the others posting addys, whoever wants to drop out at this point, tis' fine. I will continue for as long as I get my book back. FMF, you currently have it, I reckon it will be another 4 books before we have the originals so full circle

OP posts:
fullmoonfiend · 05/11/2006 11:20

I'm a bad person, I have 2 books which I have forgotton to post (Dinner for two and Bad Moon Rising) They came together..will do it monday and I am so sorry for inconvenience. They are coming to Peachy I believe.
I do want to continue though ifthat's ok? I too have loved getting new books to read and I really don't care if my 'original' never comes back to me...

kickassangel · 05/11/2006 11:16

i've also really enjoyed doing this. work has gone mad this week, but i WILL read every book & post on time.

WelshBorisSaysFawkeOff · 05/11/2006 08:43

bumbleweed just post straight onto nikkie, shes under me in the list

Im gutted about this, and blame myself for those 2 books being lost in the post. I posted them via the post office, but I couldnt afford recorded

When all settles down, and we get our books back Ill pay for the ones who were lost, but Im not joining in anymore.

Nikkie, ive got 2 books to send onto you, Ill do it Tuesday when I have my money so I can send them recorded

PanicPants · 04/11/2006 22:24

Oh dear, seems a bit sad, after such a good start, that things are slowing down a bit.

If I don't get a book from peachyclair, I will send one on anyway to keep it going on the 13th.
