Did anyone have that article from last Thursday? Which ones are worth reading? 5 down, 95 to go for me!

Will try and complete the list before I die!

Hello. Haven't posted on any of the book club discusions before.

I've read 28. Mostly when I was younger on what seemed like over long family holidays.

In recent years I've loved the Wilkie Collins novels. Anna Karenina is brilliant. Its her journey to throw herself under the train that is the story. What drives her to do it? I'm trying to pick up courage to read War & Peace. But, I'm sure I'd do myself an injury carrying it to the train each day! Anybody read it?

Have read 25 , mostly decadence and minxes.

I never read Anna Karenina because my copy was about 600 pages long and on the back it said "The tragic tale of Anna Karenina who, thwarted in love, throws herself under a train"

I thought I am not struggling through 600 pages when you just gave away the ruddy ending on the back cover

I've read 27 - most of my favourite books are on there too, except for Great Expectations.

Sobermarx · 08/08/2006 21:05

I've read 45 of them. Must be very old after all.

hulababy · 08/08/2006 21:04

I have read 9 of them

wheelybug · 08/08/2006 21:03

you're welcome (stupid stupid spelling !) - am supposed to be cooking dinner so rushing

wheelybug · 08/08/2006 21:02

your welcome !

I've clocked up 16. My favourite all time book is on there - 3 men in a boat.... really recommend that one. Mind you, that might be because it reminds me of DH and his friends (which isn't really a good thing !)

Also recommend Great Gatsby, Scoop, Room with a view, wuthering heights, Lolita....

ZippiZapata · 08/08/2006 21:02
