Hi I have started another thread as the old one took ages to sort out. Right as far as I am concerned our newest member is Mars. Katy, I am not sure if you have added any more???

Take it the admin is as UCM has suggested? Get everyone to mail rl address to me then arrange it geograpahically? Do we need to have any consensus on likes/dislikes or is that part of the fun?

And do you want to split your group, or shall we just advertise? Could split by genre preferance, maybe?

And what do we call ourselves, do you reckon? The Other Book Swap?

I'd join a second group if its not too taxing. I assume read a book, post it to someone else & get another book back etc etc

It's just that this swap is already really big, it's going to take almost a year for the books to come back as it is. There are several people who asked to be added after the swap had started, and it was suggested that maybe it would be better to have a second swap running than to try and fit them all into the one that's already running.

PanicPants- iv finished the portable door, loved it, read it in 2 days. very easy to read,
i was looking forward to reading the next one, but sounds as if its not as good

I agree with bresha - if I don't enjoy one of the books I'm not going to force myself to read it. I read for enjoyment, not for punishment! I forced myself to finish the first book so that I could start a review page off, but I won't do it again if I find I'm not enjoying another of the books.

I think there'll definitely need to be a second book swapping circle to accomodate all the newies, don't you think? Otherwise the circle is going to be huge and unmanageable.

Yes I agree it is silly to struggle on with a book if it's not doing the trick for you. It's not a bad book or anything, I just don't think I'm in the mood for it, but I have been pleased to try it. It is great to get a wide range of titles and of course I'll still put my thoughts on the review thread.

If you don’t like a book then you don’t like it, there is no point in trying to read it. At least you tried.
no point in lying on a review, every one is entitled to there own opinion
