Hugh Jackman Tufty?

I used to love them but I think they are getting a bit monotonous. And the sex scenes are awful. The earier ones are fabulous though.

popflos · 09/09/2012 06:00

i have just raced thru the first 4 and am addicted, came on line to try and find inspiration to read something else as jack is costing me a fortune on kindle.

ZacharyQuack · 08/09/2012 11:17

I do wonder if this is Lee Child's solution to Reacher's advancing age. Each annual adventure takes place in the 2-3 days immediately following the last year's adventure.

At this rate he'll get to Virginia in 2034, and we'll all have forgotten who it was he was supposed to be trying to find.

diabolo · 08/09/2012 11:14

I read The Killing Floor when it first came out donkeys years ago and have had loved every book ever since.

I was a bit disappointed with A Wanted Man, I just want him to get to Virginia though and finally meet the female MP he fell for over the phone in 61 hours.

Tom Cruise is NOT Jack Reacher and I won't be going to see the film.

LadyBeagleEyes · 06/09/2012 11:18

I liked the books, but I'm put off him by his lack of personal hygeine.
He must be very stinky.

saffronwblue · 06/09/2012 08:51

I love Jack Reacher and am devastated that silly little TC is to play him. Sacrilege. I love the way Reacher turns up in town, gets drawn into a drama, susses out the bad guys, kills most or all of them, beds a gorgeous woman and leaves on the bus. Are there any with a different plot?

BIWI · 06/09/2012 08:44

I saw the trailer, and I don't care how they filmed Tom, even his voice was wrong.

mellen · 06/09/2012 00:34

The Affair is brilliant. I have read A Wanted Man, which was good too, but not as good.

TuftyFinch · 06/09/2012 00:34

I really, really don't and am quite askance at the casting but I have got over my urial disappointment and Tom will spend 6 months standing on a box.

That Australian man would have been better, I can never remember his name?

ZacharyQuack · 06/09/2012 00:32

They should have got Peter Jackson to film it, he could have used the reverse of the technology that made the hobbits look wee.

paulapantsdown · 06/09/2012 00:28

Jack Can't Reach Smile must remember that one!

He could have used the story but changed the name. To Tom Thumb or something. Or Jack Can't Reach.

TuftyFinch · 06/09/2012 00:17

Liam Neeson is so obviously Jack Reacher but ... this is Tom's vanity project. He doesn't really look that short in film because they go to great lengths for this not to hippen. They dig trenches for the other actors, there's never a foot to head shot etc so although we all know Tom's tiny he won't look like tom thumb.

I've no deer why i'mdefending him by the way

futureunkown · 06/09/2012 00:08

Another fan here. I have read the two short stories on my kindle recently and am looking forward to reading A Wanted Man. I knew it was coming out soon, didn't realise it was out already.

Liam? Not sure. Am thinking. Liam has such an intellectual look, whereas I see Reacher as very tall and muscular.

cocolepew · 06/09/2012 00:02

Janitor.
Natch.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/09/2012 23:57

Liam Neeson.

Obvis.

cocolepew · 05/09/2012 23:55

I have the new one waiting for me on my kindle.

I imagine the janitor from Scrubs as him.

paulapantsdown · 05/09/2012 23:53

cant be arsed to link, but head on over to you tube and look at the trailer - good jaysuz its going to be utter shite

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/09/2012 23:42

Killing Floor is my fave.

I saw an interview with Lee Child where he was bigging up the star power of TC with a big smile. He must have been told he needs to be on message to get the big bucks it is presumably bringing in. The film co will know they'll get TC fans to go, some JR fans will go even if they're not keen, and so they can write off the others.

BIWI · 05/09/2012 23:32

Ooh - yes - we could rustle sweetie bags and eat noisy, rustly popcorn and call each other on our mobiles all through the film!

N0tinmylife · 05/09/2012 23:31

Finished it last week, its great. I am now re reading Killing Floor! Enjoy it! Smile
