Just bloody well PM me and I will sell you a copy of Anthology No 1, 15 different short filthy stories, at least one of which will have you hurtling for the bedroom.

(Dear MNHQ, I will understand if you delete this but it's posted out of annoyance over 50 Shades of Shite and a genuine wish to help...)

I met Zak Jane Keir at a student debate once. Thought she was fab.

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 28/06/2012 01:33

Thank you for the ever so helpful eBay link Grin

solidgoldbrass · 28/06/2012 00:56

OK, to make life easier all round I have shoved a listing up on Ebay and added a whole extra ninepence to the price to cover what Ebay and Paypal will demand.

And BTW Mythumbs - Penny Birch? Bloody hell, even when I am flogging assorted smut at fetish events I advise browsers to approach Penny Birch with a touch of, erm, caution. Great writer in terms of literary style, perhaps not the subject matter for the complete beginner... and PB is old mate of mine so can say what I like.

Ooo, pm :)

elastamum · 22/06/2012 00:14

I read it on a plane yesterday. Biggest pile of shite I have read in a long time. Didnt do anything for me. She is stupid, he is a complete wanker. I think the blog says it all -and is MUCH better written Grin

FannyFifer · 21/06/2012 22:56

That blog has totally saved me from writing my own comments re that god awful book. It's pretty much sums up my exact feelings toward it.

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 21/06/2012 21:56

I had post today Grin Might be time for an early night soon

piebald · 21/06/2012 21:34

What really pissed me off about 50 shades of g was that it was flagged up on here (mn) and when iwas shopping saw it and thought oh that'llbe ok and when i read it was astounded- what crap, Although when i had bought and not read and was told it was fanfiction to twilight i nearly passed it over to my 12 yr old- how do you explain that to them?

foxinsocks · 21/06/2012 21:11

That is the funniest thing I have read IN AGES Grin

Heathcliffscathy · 21/06/2012 21:02

this is fucking funny (blog review of the trilogy chapter by chapter)

foxinsocks · 21/06/2012 20:59

Hate that. Just takes one wrong phrase to jar and the whole impact is lost!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/06/2012 20:53

hi foxy. honestly, it did the job (barely) but really really jarred. flipping white linen shirts and pounding rhythmn be damned!

foxinsocks · 21/06/2012 20:41

Sophablllleeeeeeeeeeeeeee

How lovely to see you Smile and lolol at your review of 50 shades

Alurkatsoftplay · 21/06/2012 20:37

Do it, do it. It is not difficult to write as long as you can stop imagining your parents reading it.

Heathcliffscathy · 21/06/2012 19:33

i'm afraid i'm moved to write an erotic novel based on the fact that I read the 50 shades trilogy in 3 days and whilst it was diverting, it was SOOOOO badly written and I got SOOOOO bored of her falling into a million pieces as she came whilst her inner f&cking goddess fanned herself on the sofa that I kept bursting out laughing. clearly i'll need to punctuate properly if i do though.

mammamic · 19/06/2012 16:37

so erm what's all this about then? wonder if I'm getting away with the not interested facade

need to work out how to pm someone, quickly

Alurkatsoftplay · 19/06/2012 12:17

OOoh, PM me too, if you like. I used to write Black Lace. (Sorry SGB, couldn't help me-self!) Some of it was quite good too. You'll definitely get the Hmm face from DH.

MyThumbsHaveGoneWeird · 18/06/2012 21:13

I was just thinking my collection is in need of reinvigorating! Will pm you if I can work out how, and thanks for the links.

My recommendations are all a bit kinky but happy to share:
Aishling Morgan - my favourite one is Deep Blue but all are good. Delightfully dirty with good stories. Look out for the 17th C Devon bodice rippers.
Penny Birch - modern day stories, written as if autobiographical by a really fun and likeable character.
Ann Rice writing as A N Roquelar (sp?) - sleeping beauty as you've never heard it before...

BelieveInPink · 18/06/2012 18:20

I want me some of this please!

Also, Annabel Joesph is good for a read...

fuzzpig · 18/06/2012 16:03

Will this be the kind of book that gets me the Hmm face from DH if it arrives through the post?!

solidgoldbrass · 16/06/2012 00:17

At the risk of getting myself Sternly Spoken To by MNHQ.... there's these as well Wink
