Should have name changed for this but I'm to lazy, oh the shame Grin

After seeing Mrscampbellblacks nick name on the s&b threads. It reminded me how much I enjoyed her books. Can anyone remember what sequence they follow before I pounce on the second hand book shops.

Was it polo, riders, jump.

Amy Adams as Helen

JonesTheSteam · 21/05/2012 22:59

Can I join in? Am currently re-reading The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous having finished re-reading Riders, Rivals (my favourite along with Appassionata) and Polo.

Daniel Craig for RCB

ClaudiaWinklepants · 16/05/2012 23:11

I have always pictured ranaldini as Marco Pierre white for some reason. Rupert P-J as RCB and def Rufus Sewell as Jake Lovell. Rupert's dad (forgotten his name) Edward Fox. Bloody hell, i'm never going to get to sleep tonight! I'll be casting the entire 10 books Grin

How about <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=eddie+redmayne&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1541&bih=1018&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=n3yrq28jv13lqM:&imgrefurl=coolspotters.com/actors/eddie-redmayne/wallpapers/4249&docid=OqQc1vvSiEtU6M&imgurl=www4.images.coolspotters.com/wallpapers/4249/eddie-redmayne-mobile-wallpaper.jpg&w=320&h=480&ei=0d2zT47QA4m80QXA66m4CQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1319&vpy=293&dur=241&hovh=275&hovw=183&tx=133&ty=189&sig=104808836693835916986&page=1&tbnh=144&tbnw=103&start=0&ndsp=46&ved=1t:429,r:18,s:0,i:175" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Eddie Redmayne for Lysander?

Agree about a young Julia Roberts being Taggie - that's how I've always thought of her - and Emma Watson would be a great Fen.

The idea of Rob Lowe getting up to some of RCB's action has made me come over all unnecessary. Benedict Cumberbatch has got just the right sneeriness but isn't quite good looking enough - too quirky - but if you combined his attitude and Englishness with Rob Lowe's phenomenal attractiveness you could have a winner.

For some reason I think of <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=pink&start=0&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1541&bih=1018&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=7RnXwCzv_RbqIM:&imgrefurl=www.biography.com/people/pink-562098&docid=lTy7XPCJPATj7M&imgurl=www.biography.com/imported/images/Biography/Images/Profiles/P/Pink-562098-1-402.jpg&w=402&h=402&ei=5t6zT4v9JYrJ0QXxtJSVCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=252&sig=104808836693835916986&page=1&tbnh=152&tbnw=152&ndsp=42&ved=1t:429,r:55,s:0,i:32&tx=79&ty=105" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Pink when I think of Perdita, probably because of the cropped blonde hair.

I thought Billy in the crap TV version was one of the few things they got right, RCB was awful although Michael Praed was pretty spot on as Jake.

I was spectacularly outed as a JC fan on Facebook a few months back - I posted an arty pic of the snow with the lines from the Robert Frost poem that Luke quotes in Polo - I thought I looked really cool and intellectual until my friend posted on my status that I only knew that poem because it was in a Jilly Cooper book!

fedupofnamechanging · 16/05/2012 14:57

I always picture Declan as Diarmuid Gavin and Maud as a young Kate Bush

LordFlasheart · 16/05/2012 09:34

i know. That one who played James bond? Cant think of name, blonde, too rugged?

LordFlasheart · 14/05/2012 07:11

Its an age thing. That Henry person looks like a BOY.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 13/05/2012 22:32

Roberto Mancini just has to be Rannaldini

letseatgrandma · 13/05/2012 22:31

No time to have a good think (bloody children needing collecting, bah) but a late entry for R C-B

Oh yes-that is just perfect!!

No no no to Row Lowe-he's all wrong!

MsIngaFewmarbles · 10/05/2012 23:39

Oh god the thought of Henry Cavill as RCB has got me far too flustered forbtonight. DH is currently at the pub and several gins down. Dammit

SarahStratton · 10/05/2012 23:20

Nope, jaw is too square, and he is not a blonde Greecian God.

I do wish they'd make a mini series of Rivals. :(

LordFlasheart · 10/05/2012 20:10

RCB about to tell reporters to EFF ORF

LordFlasheart · 10/05/2012 20:08

NO Stratters. THIS

RCB arriving at Hillarys jugged hair dinner party

SarahStratton · 10/05/2012 16:32

Sorry Blush

I love a bit of CL porn.

SleepyFergus · 10/05/2012 16:22

Seb Coe!?! No, no, no - that's just ruined any romantic and sexy notions I ever had of RCB. I think that might have just ruined re-reading any JC books for me.

channels Henry Cavill again

cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/henry-cavill-as-clark-kent-in-superman-man-of-steel.jpg

Aaaah, that's better....

SuePurblybilt · 10/05/2012 16:15

Arf. I dunno, it said she said she based it on a horse she once knew.
And CL cannot lie.

SarahStratton · 10/05/2012 15:56

Which horse? Grin

SuePurblybilt · 10/05/2012 15:52

I read an article in CL that said she based him on a horse.

SarahStratton · 10/05/2012 15:35

Helen CB is definitely Jane Asher. I used to think Peter Egan would make a good RCB, but he's not chiselled enough.

JC said she based RCB partly on APB, with a dash of others, including Seb Coe.

LostInWales · 10/05/2012 15:20

SarahStratton · 10/05/2012 15:10

Woooooo Jilly thread.

SuePurblybilt · 10/05/2012 15:07

I just had a dreadful thought. If Jilly thought Andrew Parker B and Lester Piggot were good enough to be beautiful super-studs, what of the wimmin?

Was Taggie actually based on Liz Jones? Shock

SleepyFergus · 09/05/2012 22:51

Ooh I do love this thread. Racking my brains to think of actors to play folk. Seriously need to download the books onto my kindle soon, esp with lots of night feeds coming up.....

LordFlasheart · 09/05/2012 21:00

Wasnt she?

I think Lysander was someone vile too. Lester Piggot?

Jilly has rotten taste, Andrew Parker-Bowles, I ask you.
