That bit in the television series when Jaime has been captured and tells Rob that they could end it all in single combat with a weapon of his choice.

I really wish Rob had said, "Certainly. I choose my giant wolf!"

I'd like to see Dany end up with Jon Snow. She's only (possibly) his aunt so that's quite tame for a Targaryen.

Im trying to persuade dh that we need another dog. and he will be named after a direwolf.

but Ive done 9 of those things... and I want a t-shirt to wear in bed Blush

ValarMorghulis · 09/01/2012 21:31

i thought so.
and he's the size of a direwolf, and he's black.

they were unswayed though.

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 21:27

drogo would be an awesome name for a great dane...

ValarMorghulis · 09/01/2012 21:25

2 - well i have pondered the feasability of its use.

3 hell yeah. i also begged my folks to name their new great Dane puppy drogo, they opted for Mo instead. i was displeased.

5 - its a red peony on a feild of green

6 - and lannister and targeryian and stark and..........

  1. erm. well, maybe one or twice Blush
  1. old. all the way. i think its all about the beauty of nature and mother earth.
  1. if they printed one in my size, i would wear it.
DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 21:07

I'll admit to 6, 8 and 9 and I've definitely pondered what I would name a direwolf Blush

Grin very true.

10 Signs You Have Been Reading Too Much George R. R. Martin

We have all admitted to number three I think. Haven't thought of a direwolf name though.

not even the Lannisters like the Lannisters.

WinterIsComing · 09/01/2012 19:40

Well this has taken off while RL has intruded for me. Doesn't it always?

It is known.

OP posts:
DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 18:32

it would make her more popular with some, does anyone actually like the lannisters?

MotherofDragons · 09/01/2012 18:07

Would they not see it as justice for the red wedding? Imo, it would only make her more popular!

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 18:06

i might start reading from the begginning again while i'm waiting to buy DWD

ValarMorghulis · 09/01/2012 17:45

Well i work full time so that saves me a bit.
but yes ordinarily i can't wait. I would get the train home for work for a week rather than drive just so i could read on the way home.

i knew that i would read it so fast that it would be gone in a couple of days and it would all be over. I wanted to draw it out as long as possible.

though i did have to literally tear it out of my own hands sometimes.

See I can't see littlefingers plan with Sansa working out. The kingslayer is much accursed and she is still in the frame for killing Joff. Would the north really just go "ooh she's not alayne after all hurrah for Queen Sansa"? Im noit sure.

But i like the idea of the two paths being so closely entwined, she and cersei

MotherofDragons · 09/01/2012 17:40

She could marry another contender to the throne, but littlefingers plans for her are huge, I doubt he will stop at just warden of the east, and the north. He plays the game of thrones better than anyone!

MotherofDragons · 09/01/2012 17:35

Dany, I'm like you. I absorb books. Am cooking dinner now with minute on my twatphone and GoT on my kindle.

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 17:34

hmm, but can sansa ever be a queen? what claim would she have to the throne? she could possibly be queen of the north if petyr's ideas for her work out.

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 17:31

did you manage to stick to that valar? my life literally stops, i don't cook or clean more than the minimum possible, dd1 watches tv after school until bed or plays with friends, dd2 sits with her until she needs feeding and even then i pull the bottle out of her mouth everytime i need a spare hand to turn a page, I begrudge reading dd1 her bedtime story (although i do it of course).... i'm a terrible mother aren't I?

MotherofDragons · 09/01/2012 17:31

I think the "other, more beautiful" is sansa. She has been at the heart of all cersei's problems so far (joff's death, jaime is looking for her rather than helping his sister, wasn't she involved with tyrions decision to send myrcella to dorne too?) And she has a tangible link to cersei, their fates are entwined. Dany doesn't even know she exists.

ValarMorghulis · 09/01/2012 17:25

I actually rationed myself to two chapters a day so as to savour it for as long as i could, a la Charlie Bucket.

I have a desperate desire to re read it but i am refusing to. I will wait a while at least. it may be a long long time until we get Winds of winter and i need to make it last

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 17:20

damn it i need that book! Grin

of course once i get it you won't see me for 3/4 days....

ValarMorghulis · 09/01/2012 17:19

errm - well. All i will say is that all some will be revealed in DWD

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/01/2012 17:19

no, i don't believe arya will stay where she is at all! your theory does make sense!

that is if cersei is still alive to kill....

but you've read DWD haven't you so that must mean she is... or is there no cersei in DWD?
