just ordered ADWD paperback! yay

I came soo close to buying the hardback but I've kept myself busy reading from the beginning again!

its coming next thursday! one week

I can't wait.

IDoNotLIKEFun · 19/02/2012 23:42

The FB GoT group did a series of Valentines pictures earlier this week. Nice one of Dany and Drogo.

Not too sure about this one though.

Ephiny · 15/02/2012 13:29

Brienne looks amazing - I was worried they'd make her too feminine and pretty, but she looks just like I imagined.

NatureAbhorsAHoover · 13/02/2012 23:30

Not suggesting in any way I approve of said antics in real life Blush

NatureAbhorsAHoover · 13/02/2012 23:28

Yesssss to the slapping!

Can I just say... I know Asha Greyjoy (the actress wot is) in real life. She is lovely and v v talented. Have to restrain self from SQUEEing massively when I see her and act all nonchalant (but am squee-ing inside)

She hadn't read the books and didn't know what she gets up to with her brother in (hopeful) book 3 Grin

OracleInaCoracle · 13/02/2012 16:21

I am stringing out GoT now, I want to finish it in line with the new series.

IDoNotLIKEFun · 13/02/2012 16:13

Yes Margary as Natalie Portman.

It isn't that far away OAN!

Ah, feck, so it is...

OnlyANinja · 13/02/2012 12:50

April is still aaaages away.

OracleInaCoracle · 13/02/2012 12:46

I always imagined Margary as a Natalie Portman type look tbh!

IDoNotLIKEFun · 13/02/2012 12:44

She's beautiful but looks more fierce than I had imagined.

yy to Natalie Dormer. I always thought that Margarey's strength, inherited from and cultivated by her grandmother was well-hidden beneath a veneer of innocent prettiness. Natalie sort of looks scheming and knowing and her face has sexuality written all over it. Perfect for Anne Boleyn. I'll be interested to see how she does. She might surprise us!

OracleInaCoracle · 12/02/2012 09:32

jeyne and Robb

OracleInaCoracle · 12/02/2012 09:28

im not too sure about natalie dormer tbh, I saw margery as more delicate and innocent looking. have they cast Jeyne yet?

IDoNotLIKEFun · 09/02/2012 15:13

I think Ygritte is well-casted. I'm really looking forward to seeing Natalie Dormer too!

OracleInaCoracle · 09/02/2012 14:04

ah, I love Tyrion's slaps! what do we think of the casting of Ygritte? Ive never seen DA, but she looks like her to me.

IDoNotLIKEFun · 09/02/2012 12:20
Grin
IDoNotLIKEFun · 09/02/2012 12:09

So do I! I could watch Tyrion slapping Joffrey all year. I could probably watch ANYONE slapping Joffrey all year but Tyrion does it so well.

I'm always surprised when I hear him speaking in his usual American accent because both Jaime and Tyrion are so amazing at upper-class English.

Anyway - here is Pod!

OracleInaCoracle · 08/02/2012 21:20

he can indeed Grin

I love Tyrion. I hope he is the other rider!

IDoNotLIKEFun · 08/02/2012 21:18

Glad to hear it, Lissie. Yes I have seen that. A small man can cast a very long shadow.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/02/2012 17:26

hallo!!!

much better thank you. have you seen the second trailer, where Varys is talking to Tyrion? I am so excited. DH is teasing me for behaving like a teenage Take That fan!

IDoNotLIKEFun · 08/02/2012 13:07

Oh - had thought this had died. Hope all is better, Lissie.

I still can't bear to read ADWD!

Not long until series two and I am sooooo excited, although I agree that the title is annoyingly incorrect.

Then again, Ice and Fire / Fire and Ice have been done to death. The poem, and wasn't it also a classic lipstick colour? GoT is more memorable and easy to search on Google so I'll let the producers off Grin

DaenerysTargaryenButCallMeDany · 07/02/2012 22:15

Hi all :) I've been reading Grin

Hope your mouths all better now lissie
the TV ads have started for series 2 now, is anyone else annoyed that they're still calling it Game Of Thrones? That was just the name of the first book. Not the whole series

OracleInaCoracle · 30/01/2012 09:53

sorry, this dropped out of TIO. how is everyone?

I had two out, one top, one bottom and they feel sooo much better today. but they got infected and were soooo painful!!

DaenerysTargaryenButCallMeDany · 24/01/2012 17:16

how many did you have out? :(

I'm ok, nearly at the end of first book now, looking forward to starting second, my housework is suffering though Grin
And I'm knackered due to reading until gone one most nights, I'm not sure why I haven't finished it yet actually but its great reading it again and picking up on things I didn't realise i should pick up on first time round.
