Yep there's one called 'Library to Pigeon Park' and I just happened to be in the right place for that the other week. Also a good one because it's obvious where the start and end point are. Smile

The route set up isn't great. There are none near where I live. There are some near my office but it is really hard to figure out where they are as the map doesn't show street names or where the route is from where you are! I've managed to do two more by luck than anything else.

I just noticed today that I can add routes now. Of course it poured with rain when I was out playing so it wasn't very easy to do anything.

I used to love collecting fun postcards too and the scatterbug thing has ruined my collection. Once I'm done with getting them all I'll go back to only keeping the fun ones.

I have some pretty cool ones near me as I live just up the road from an ancient abbey and there's the grave of King William I of Scotland there so some of you may have received gifts from me from there.

You may already know this but if you pin it and then unpin it straight away before opening the gift, it still counts towards the scatterbugs.

That way you can only leave the ones you actually want to keep pinned.

I'm tempted to do a "pub crawl" one since I know even on a bad weather day I can rest at each end. Whether it would be accepted or not I don't know though.

I don't see why it wouldn't be accepted, and I'm sure everyone would appreciate those routes. Smile Apparently the minimum distance they will allow is technically 500 metres unfortunately, but best to make it 550 to be on the safe side.

Thank you! That's good to know about the distances. I can always go past a few in one go when setting it up then when I'm playing later I can pause when I need a rest. 😁

now I can make some I'm going to try and do others I know I can manage and hope they get accepted.

This is my opinion at the mo -

Make your routes into a lot of short routes, I mean, like, between one gym and the next nearest gym. You can always then add one on to make the next stage of your imagined walk people might enjoy.

This is because we have 'follow three routes' challenge, and we might well get something like that again in future. So personally I think very short ones are useful. Your having mobility problems will help you make these useful routes.

Someone has done one 'Grand Tour of Birmingham City Centre' or something, which I'm sure is a lovely 1hr 40 mins of Pokemon, but not that useful if we have a challenge to do a certain number of them.

Thanks this sounds like what I was considering doing, although I never thought of lots of little ones like that.

I don't know if it's happening for this current event, but it definitely seems like it.

porridgeisbae · 29/08/2023 13:06

Lucky rate when trading seemed higher than usual yesterday evening and today around 12-1am. 14 out of 100 trades today were luckies. Just thought I'd let you know in case it's still going on.😀 Ah apparently it's a thing https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/14zcrwk/lucky_rates_7th_anniversary_party_silph_research/

Sorry to hear that @Brassymess.
we had a great few days doing local raids and got a couple of shineys to show for it! Anyone know what the next event is? Thanks to all those who befriended me!

Brassymess · 29/08/2023 08:26

I'm really sorry to all those I was due to level up with on Sunday (I'm Cobbblers). I ended up in a&e on Sunday so apart from a quick play while I was waiting the whole event passed me by!
Would anyone like to coordinate lucky eggs for another time?

Yeah I can't see where routes are if they're not super close to me and even then I can't see them fully. There are some that start near my house and I just want to see where they go but it craps out on me every time.

I've only done one route over and over because I know it's one I can manage the walk for, although now I can make some I'm going to try and do others I know I can manage and hope they get accepted.

porridgeisbae · 28/08/2023 21:07

I don't know about you all but I'm having many issues with routes and how to do it. Sad If I'm inadvertently directly on where a route starts then it's ok but otherwise I can't see the flags and I can't see how to get to where the route is in relation to me.

I also can't scroll down to see more than a couple of routes in the routes list, even if it lists more than those I can see.

ISaySteadyOn · 28/08/2023 09:00

No shiny rayquaza for me either, but tbh I am just happy to have multiple rayquaza. Did get a 3 ⭐ shiny Snorlax though!

OP posts:
Purpletoes · 27/08/2023 21:17

Thanks for you help in the raids. My son and I were successful but no shiny rayquaaza for either of us.
Shiny rate not great today either. I had a total of 16 over the 2 days. Favourite being my kyogre. I am so tired after walking around for 2 days but we have met and made friends with lots more of our local gamers.

Rest and reset till community day 😉😆

ISaySteadyOn · 27/08/2023 16:41

It's your level that determines if you can make a route?

I can make routes as of this week, I have three waiting for moderation. It came down to level 45 towards the end of the week, I don't know if it's expanded since then.

We went into the city today and yesterday. It was lovely, full lobbies and lures everywhere. I'd stocked up on potions and revives but haven't made much of a dent in them because of the big groups.

ISaySteadyOn · 27/08/2023 14:26

No, not yet.

OP posts:
porridgeisbae · 27/08/2023 14:10

I had a local route I might've tried at some point, but it seems to have been removed. Sad

They should hurry up and let us all make routes. Can any of you do it yet?

SockQueen · 27/08/2023 13:47

I still haven't got enough mega energy!

ISaySteadyOn · 27/08/2023 13:38

I have 2 meteorites. Just didn't scroll far enough. Thank you!

OP posts:
SockQueen · 27/08/2023 13:17

ISaySteadyOn · 27/08/2023 13:06

But how do you teach them Dragon Ascent?

Do you have the meteorite? You can get one from today's special research. Then Dragon Ascent shows up on my Rayquaza's page as a button just below New Attack. I'll try to attach a screenshot...
