Routine Sparkles Pokémon Go

New thread. No routes where I am. We're going to be at Pokémon Go Fest on 6 August. V excited.

I managed to meet up with a large group nearby and did 4 raids. I caught it three times and one of them was perfect! No shiny though. But can’t ask for everything.

I never did a Shadow Mewtwo raid but during a special research where you could get one, I chased bloody Cliff all over my borough on a freezing day so I could finally fight Giovanni. This was when DS was having a particularly difficult time so he was thrilled I got it in the end.

My boyfriend (non Pokemon player) hasn’t recovered yet from my Shadow MewTwo raid weekend.
I got a few in the end but it was hard work 😂

Back in the day there used to be special raids that you needed to have done a raid near a certain gym to get an invite to it and they were only once on a certain date and time so you all had to be there for it then. I think those were the elite gyms? I remember doing one once standing by an area of our town called Danger Point (for a very good reason, cars have been washed away in bad weather 🙈) during a raging storm with rain pelting me from one side and waves from the sea from the other. Can't even remember what Pokémon it was for but a very nice local group member let me sit in his warm dry car in the end. Grin

I've just been researching the Rayquaza raids. Mostly appearing at 12pm/1pm and 5pm/6pm it seems. So me and DS will picnic in a local park where apparently there is a 'meet up'. We've not done this before so we will see!
We tried for MewToo a few months ago which ended in literal tears (DS, not me) so fingers crossed we don't have a repeat of that Wink

As far as I know, mega rayquaza raids work the same as other megas. You can't do them on your own so you need to invite friends to raid with you whether that's in person or remotely. I think you probably need 4+ people?

And I have no idea what an elite gym is. Have always wondered.

My friend has now hatched three charcadet, my son has three, I have one with three 10km eggs still baking. If my remaining eggs turn out to all be turtonators then my son has promised me his spare.

I've spent a lovely sunny afternoon in a local park catching cyndaquil that were all about three quarters of the size that would win showcases.

I felt like that with Larvesta. I only have one because DH loves me and is not as invested in PoGo as I am so gave me his.

It's a mechanic we've had before, you need to have it as your buddy and then defeat a psychic type. You can put it in as the last one of the party at a raid, defeat grunts, battle league. It doesn't need to fight, just be on the team.

We'll not talk about how many eggs I hatched while the event was on and they were in all eggs, nor how many 10km eggs have disappointed me since then. One day it will be mine.

Have any of you managed to evolve your Charcadet yet? I am not sure how the defeat X type of Pokémon works.

I got some pretty good ones. Phantump and Tyrunt which have been on my list for ages. I also managed both Oricorios. Necrozma shiny avoided me completely on the first day, but I managed 4 of those on day 2.
