Pretty obvious from my username that The Witcher 3 is up there but my top console game is Red Dead Redemption 2. It was more like playing a movie than a game. The storyline and the ending Sad

Assassins Creed odyssey played as Kassandra too. Fab to see a really good female protagonist and the game play was great.

What's your favourite and why?

I also love Kingdom of Loathing. I'll get my coat 😁

SingToTheSky · 09/03/2022 17:24

A PC game called Sheeep (yes, three Es if I remember right!) 😳

Futurama and Simpsons Hit and Run on PS2. Happy days playing those with DH pre kids!

Jux · 09/03/2022 17:20

Valhalla (or it might be called Ragnarok) which runs in a DOS box now, but I used to play it all the time, it was fab!

I never get very far with any games as I hate killing things and am a bloody coward online!

Flutterby8 · 24/02/2022 17:29

Red Dead Redemption 2.
Never played anything like it. The graphics are amazing and the plot easy to follow. I'm debating playing it again to be fair because I enjoyed it that much!

Other games from a long long time ago would be point and click games like the Monkey Island games!

Pinkbonbon · 24/02/2022 11:55

Rdr2 is definately top.

My second is a bit out there but it's a spin off from harvest moon series called Animal Parade for wii. Inner girly girl talking here but- All the bachelors, bacholoeretes and kids are adorable and I love the clothes and the pretty stones you can get in the mines and make into accessories.

Third is Zelda Majoras Mask for n64. Coming out on nintendo switch tomorrow!

Joint fourth are the animal crossing and sims series. Been playing them since the start.

I also enjoyed rune factory frontier.

Amd Stardew Valley of course!

Fuzzy303 · 24/02/2022 11:42

Skyrim and any of the Tales of Games but especially Tales of Vesperia.

Also an absolute sucker for a Pokemon game

Featuredcreature · 24/02/2022 11:10

Probably wow, I used to love Tony hawks and tomb raider, viva pinata and we liked timesplitters and unreal tournament. My ex played wow when it first came out and I did loads of eye rolling and tutting. Then I read a thread on here about a mn guild... Hmm I thought I might give it a try. That was midway through mop, I was pretty deep in the addiction fairly soon Grin luckily the changes they made in wod and legion slowly killed the magic for me. I still watch the odd stream on twitch and I absolutely love the race to world first, a good solid weeks entertainment Blush.

@FancyPuffin

Hollow Knight for me. Everything about it! The style, the story and the music are just gorgeous. I can playthrough it almost endlessly.
Good game
00100001 · 24/02/2022 10:40

Skyrim!

Nitgel · 24/02/2022 10:38

Gex Grin

MunchyMonsters · 24/02/2022 10:29

Zelda is my all time favourite game. Still play it now. It was so forward for its time.

Kgutdfn · 24/02/2022 10:02

Splatoon 2 (Nintendo switch). No game has ever and will ever come close!!!

AnneTwacky · 11/02/2022 06:27

I loved Jak 2 so much, back in the day.

Dystopian city, so much angst but undercut with just the right amount of humour, wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, I was engrossed.

It hit the spot so well, when DD wanted her first console but wasn't sure which way to jump, I chose a playstation 4 just because of the good memories I had of that game.

CruCru · 08/02/2022 13:10

I love Assassins Creed (particularly Valhalla), Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Ghost of Tsushima. I’ve just finished Horizon Zero Dawn.

Jolene1990 · 05/01/2022 14:21

My favourite game ever is Majora's Mask: I played it back in 2003 and have never played anything like it,,, its a bit hard to get now but if you can play it, you won't regret it!!

NotImpossible · 26/12/2021 09:41

Can I ask for advice about where tonstart the Assassins Creed games? I tried the first one years ago and was enjoying the story but lost interest in the gameplay before O get very far. Are they best played in some sort of order or can I just jump into the recent ones? Thanks!

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 24/12/2021 00:21

Atic Atak. Really showing my age here.

Mayaingam · 23/12/2021 08:27

I love New World. This game has every aspect of what is to look forward to as a benchmark for a first game made from scratch, made on a new game engine, it is great. The graphics are smooth and gorgeous. The lore and setting are both entertaining and innovative. Game mechanics are enjoyable with only a couple of minor exceptions. There is no swimming just literally walking underwater. The jump could be a little better, but you have a phenomenal set of movements for getting over rough terrain and enough gold to buy items you need. Overall, if you like pirates, MMO's, or skill-based systems, then you can try it, too.

RedDeadRoach · 22/11/2021 15:55

Ah i did enjoy stardew valley, lovely bit of escapism! We just got sonic mania on the ps4, that's bringing back some nostalgia. The kids are loving it too.

Also... Ecco the dolphin is one of my favourite old games (and the hardest game ever - bloody 8-arms) but why aren't there more under the sea type games?!

We love gaming here. I play lots of Nintendo games with the kids like pikmin, animal crossing, Mario kart etc. Also fortnite although I’m pretty useless.

I love RPGs though, loved the dragon age games, fable series and the fallout ones too. My all time favourite is the elder scrolls online, I dread to think how many hours I have sunk into that over the past 5 years or so! Blush

MedusasBadHairDay · 22/11/2021 14:33

I've just started playing Animal Crossing, it's addictive but also kind of dull. I can't decide if I actually like it or not. Can't help comparing it to Stardew which makes the harvesting of items seem much more compelling.

burnoutbabe · 22/11/2021 14:18

I am playing Witcher 3 right now but i don't love it, though on the last DLC so must have sunk 50 hours into it.

Last of us 2 was fantastic but did i enjoy it? I really didn't want to do the last part, having come down onto the non-Ellie side of things so really didn't want to pursue things anymore.

Love tomb raider style games, with missions and then seperarte collectibles/side projects to do. I did all the 4 unchartered games over last year since getting a PS4 for Last of us 2 last summer. They were brilliant.

HerRoyalWitchyness · 22/11/2021 14:15

Assassins creed. I've loved them all.

Tomb raider. I remember playing as a child when she had triangular boobs Grin

The sims. I'm obsessed with it and always have been. Creating your own story and virtual life.

Animal crossing for when I just want to play something easy going and not have to think

Mumoblue · 22/11/2021 14:12

Bloodborne. I love the aesthetic, love the challenge, love what makes it different from Dark Souls (I liked the first Dark Souls, hated the second and can take or leave the third).

I also really liked Skyrim and the Dragon Age series. I played WoW for about 10 years but then left for FF14- but had to stop playing that when I had my son. When he gets a bit older I’d like to go back to FF14, if I can ever get a new graphics card.

EventOfTheSeason · 22/11/2021 14:11

Fable 2 and Red Dead Redemption 1. I missed playing Fable 2 when we got rid of our xbox so much that I bought one second hand to play it then sold it on again.
