Welcome to thread 6!

OP posts:

Thanks @moretea, glad you enjoyed it.

I'm really excited about working out what my new one will be Smile

EntropyBanana · 11/09/2021 10:09

I'll post a Dodo code later on - hopefully between 6 and 7 this evening, and will stay open for a few hours.

Come and visit and grab whatever you want, KK songs, bells, fruit, items, stars, crafting materials. If you fill up your pockets, go home and empty them and come back for more!

I may not be there 100% of the time so may be slow to answer if you have questions - but don't feel hesitant about taking stuff, if you can pick it up, you can have it!

Sonmi451 · 11/09/2021 09:37

Thanks Moretea, I'm looking at a massive loss, I'll pop over!

moretea · 11/09/2021 09:17

I have 181 bells for turnips this morning, not great but if anyone is facing selling at a loss otherwise welcome to visit, Dodo code 3X52L. DIYs available too.
@EntropyBanana loved the dream visit, DC thought your customised island tune was amazing.. thanks
@EntropyBanana is there any way I can visit tonight? As I won't be able to tomorrow and would be gutted to miss your generosity
I'll PM you

EntropyBanana · 10/09/2021 19:04

@FrankiesKnuckle I've PM'd you.

FrankiesKnuckle · 10/09/2021 18:53

Assess all dug up fossils at the museum, any fossils blathers hasn't got donate and any duplicates/ ones blathers has already got them sell them on or give as presents.
Yes use your nook miles ticket and you'll get a mystery island visit with usually something, a rare fossil or fish etc Sometimes a new villager too.
I've had money island a couple of times and still waiting for tarantula island!
I use the islands to chop as much wood as possible to collect to make stuff, as well as hitting rocks and picking up weeds.
Shake the trees on the island too (with a net!) and an item will fall out of one. There's usually only one wasp nest on mystery island trees.
Take your tools!

Winterfellismyhome · 10/09/2021 18:51

When a villager leaves, use your nook miles tickets to go to the airport, you can find new villagers that way. Otherwise the game chooses a random one for you.

Best thing is to sell fruit to the shop. Native fruit only gets 100 bells i think but non native gets 500 so worth having allt he fruit

Ah thank you, that's very helpful.

Who do we need to sell fruit to? I shake the trees or pick them up, and then sell them at the shop thing. Fossils we take to the museum or sell them, but they appear everywhere and DD never digs them up. I like the island to look tidy ha.

She has a nook miles ticket. Does she need to take that to the airport?

sweetheartyparty · 10/09/2021 18:30

You have to sell fruit to unlock snotface ie to buy turnips

gab254 · 10/09/2021 17:58

Nook miles are brilliant, if you go to resident services you can use them for lots of things. You can buy nook mile tickets which you can use at the airport. They take you to random islands and you can gather things there too and meet other people.

Have you had the fossils assessed by blathers?

Turnips you buy Sunday morning from the person wondering around your island with snot hanging off the face.
Then you can check turnip prices in the shop and sell for more than you paid to make a profit. On here people will offer their Dodo code (so you can visit their island) if they have a good price. You get lots of Bells that way.

You pick up recipes too so you can make things.

Hope that helps a bit?

lollipopsandrainbows · 10/09/2021 17:36

@EntropyBanana my daughter would love to visit if possible? We're quite new to it so seem to spend forever building bridges and houses and so have lots of random animals walking around. We've also had one leave with no reason as to why.

We've thousands of nook miles which we don't know what to do with. There's also lots of talk of turnips on this thread but we have most other fruits/veg but no turnip.

Dd spends her days filling the island with animals, I spend the evenings picking items up to sell (things on beach, twigs, wasps nests etc) and digging up fossils!

EntropyBanana · 10/09/2021 17:34
@FrankiesKnuckle enjoy your evening off, sounds blissful, especially the unlimited ACNH.
@EntropyBanana I think yours was the first island I visited! I'll be sure to rake anthother look with your dreamcode. I'm excited & pleased for you for your brave new start. Very generous of you to offer to share. If I could have some blue roses or green mum's I'd be really grateful, I can't seem to breed them.
Thanks @moretea Smile

I have both, let's arrange for me to drop them over after the madness is over

FrankiesKnuckle · 10/09/2021 15:45

@gab254 I know! I'm not sure it's ever happened! Just a shame I can't put it to really good use as I'll have to be up by 8:30 and start work at 11.
Still, I'm immensely excited for this evening. I'm even digging out a posh candle to light as my husband hates the smell so I can never have it. Simple pleasures!

EntropyBanana · 10/09/2021 15:28
@EntropyBanana - I'm free tonight?! Literally have an empty house tonight, no husband or child. My wild night in consists of eating what I want, a bottle of wine and unlimited animal crossing!
You're on! I'll message you later.

gab254 · 10/09/2021 15:25

@FrankiesKnuckle that's the stuff of dreams!!!

@FrankiesKnuckle

Ah *@EntropyBanana* I would've been there but unfortunately working a 12hr late shift tomorrow!
Oh boo :(

Let's see if we can work something out.

gab254 · 10/09/2021 13:45

@EntropyBanana that sounds amazing! I'd love to visit tomorrow. It's very generous of you!

EntropyBanana · 10/09/2021 13:29

Not at all influenecd by @Magissa, I too am going to start over.

So before I trash my island, I've been taking everything down and dropping it all over the island.

I've got no end of furniture, clothes, items, fencing, walls and flooring, snowflakes, carnivale feathers etc. Plus star fragments, plants, Mario stuff, all the zodiac items, seasonal items, Gulliver items, pirate stuff. And about 10 million bells dropped around the place.

I'll be opening up tomorrow evening for people to come and fill their pockets. In the meantime if you want an idea of what is on offer, you can visit my dream address DA-5207-1484-1003 (try the pipes!)

I also have all the flowers, bushes and fruit so let me know if there's anything I can drop over to you

Sonmi451 · 09/09/2021 21:27

Ah, thanks. I had a look before I put the kids to bed but wasn't sure if I had to register or something. Looks like I've missed it, the queue is locked now, but no worries, thank you anyway :)

derenstar · 09/09/2021 19:56

@Sonmi451

EEk, how does turnip exchange work?
Very straight forward. Just join the queue and when it’s your turn, it shows you the dodo code for my island. You then come over, sell your turnips and god.
