@toomanyhobbies Ah I'm glad he liked it... I also did the majority of ours! DD just prefers kicking villagers out and then hunting for new ones. I just make the place look pretty!!

@Exit101 The tents are from the winter update, they were available to buy in Nooks Cranny. I can save you one if you want one?

@Fieldsoftripe9 You're welcome. Yeah I'm doing a different theme, more of a town style one I think. Will see how it goes, it'll probably end up looking similar to what I've got now.

@FrankiesKnuckle Apologies as I've just seen this... I'll open up again tomorrow night as I've got more I want to get rid of. I'll post a dodo.

@Fieldsoftripe9 put all your house etc on the beach, I found it easier to design that way and then just move them to where you want them around what you've designed.

Also make sure you collect resources every day cos you'll need loads in the beginning.

Also take advantage of all the bells I've put around my island, its so much easier if you have plenty so you can build inclines and bridges and move your houses about.

My gates will be open for a couple of hours tonight so feel free to come over

Thank you so much @gab254 and @BubblegumLife for your generosity. I've now paid my mortgage off a couple of times so I have lots more room at home!

I used to play on wild world on the nintendo DS years ago and it was so much less involved than this. I haven't yet started planting flowers or trees yet as finding how to design an island best a bit overwhelming. Does anyone have any tips of what you wish you had done at the start?

Hi I’ve just restarted mine & Ds island determined this time to get further! Would love to Visit some other islands to get inspiration. We’ve just got our 2nd resident. And I’m trying to make sure I chop wood from all the trees every day so we have enough resources.
