Island quite "messy" so not as beautiful (and a bit crowded by the airport!) but I have quite a few DIYS at the moment.
Also welcome to take some fruit/pumpkins but do just take what you need to replant so others can have them too.

If visitors could water my flowers that would be ace - mainly either side of the path to the right of the airport and there's a few orange plants just beyond the DIYS.

@Ladderclimber I have all the fruits if you want them? I can send you a dodo code to visit my island.

Oooh an ACNH thread! I started at Christmas and am loving it. It’s so calming. How do I get more fruit though? Only got peaches, cherries and coconuts.

My villagers are like annoying little children who insist on following me around and watching what I'm doing when I'm very busy. They stand in the one fucking spot I want to plant a tree/put fence down/make a path and then have the cheek to say we keep bumping into each other. Arrrggghhh.

I've been trying to make my farm earlier today and they drove me mad.

My breeding garden looks amazing today after all your watering yesterday! Practically ever plant has multiplied

I think speaking to Isabelle about the villagers only serves to reset their clothes or catchphrases - it won't help them leave

Randomly one will show up in your campsite (Isabelle tells you this) and you can play a game with them to win some items and then you can invite them to your island (takes some spamming of chat with them sometimes to get this) and they'll play the game again and say they'll move in... go see Tom Nook and come back disappointed as there's no room... then they'll ask if they should talk to someone and take their spot... IMPORTANT - IF THEY WANT TO TAKE OVER FROM YOUR DREAMY THAT YOU CAN'T BEAR TO SAY GOODBYE TO - CLOSE THE GAME WITH THE HOME BUTTON AND X WITHOUT SAVING (oh the tears we had from DD1 about fucking Punchy) and then you can always cheat it and keep retrying for them to boot someone you want rid of.

Randomly they'll have an existential crisis with the thought bubble that they're thinking of moving - if this happens and you let them go, they'll have the next day in packing boxes (someone else with an empty plot can come talk to them and invite them to their island at this time which is what it means when someone says "I have Raymond in boxes if anyone wants him"). Then the following day the plot goes empty and you can visit random islands in the hope of finding someone you like (or pick up someone in boxes)... if you don't find a villager that day - the following day it'll be randomly sold to someone - usually someone you've spoken to on a friend's island at some point.

Or you can use Amiibo to invite in who you like (apart from selected new villagers: Raymond, Judy, Dom, Megan, Cyd, Reneigh and possibly more I forget about) - you invite them to your campsite three times in a row, craft them the item they request each time and then they'll tell you how amazing your island is... wish they could live there and all that stuff. The new villagers added in the update today come from amiibo cards - you can either buy the legit ones at hideously overinflated prices, buy handmade ones via Etsy and the like, or look into how to make your own if you have a phone that can write NFC tags - I shouldn't go into it more than that as it's rather naughty, but I'm about to play with the new villagers as I made amiibo coins of them a while ago.

Yes!!!!! I have one in particular who always does that!!

And! I made them all lovely grass coats and they wear them all the time but every time one of them leaves, it shows up in lost property the next day! So rude!!!

Most of my villagers are annoying me actually. Why do they always try to flog me their old stuff? It’s always something I really don’t want or already have loads of like a microwave or a rugby uniform, and then they get all huffy with me when I say no!!!

I finally got rid of my most hated villager a couple of days ago, spent a few hours visiting mystery islands trying to find a good replacement and then accidentally pressed the wrong button and invited one I was going to reject!!!!! So annoyed! Now she’s moved in and is all smug and it’s going to be ages before I get the chance to evict her!!!

My favourites are Marshal (AKA sarcastic squirrel) and Roscoe (AKA goth horse).

Does anyone end up with loads the same? My DS has two monkeys on his, other DS has about four penguins and I've got two pigs.

I accidently agreed to a villager moving after a camper moved in and my daughter was so upset ... the day they mope around with their boxes... oops.

I have a Static I want to go and keep ignoring him. I've complained to Isabel but no sign so far. I didn't like Ken initially but he's grown on me!

I have had my first villager leave! A couple have asked about going and I put them off but when one of my originals (Sprocket, jock, metal ostrich) asked I said yes and that’s it, he has gone and I have an empty plot.

Feels a bit weird.
