I gave in a bought myself a set of pipes.

I've set them up so I can come out my door and jump straight to my cliff top flower Garden.

@Nomaj it varies , it can take weeks or it can be quicker than that.

You can hang the photos on the wall in your house. I have mine up in my study. You're welcome to come and visit to see what I mean if you like. You can be the first person to try out my new pipe arrangement too Smile

At the beginning I was confused by what was meant by a wrapped fossil, not knowing about the wrapping paper then, and thought it meant one that was unassessed (so still wrapped up in its dirt? I dunno) and gave one to one of my residents and she said "oh, I don't really know much about assessing fossils" Grin

Oh wow @EntropyBanana maybe I should try again, I was wrapping but am inconsistent with gifts.

How long does it take you to get photos do you reckon?

And then what do you do with them?

@louloulemons I give mine a wrapped assessed fossil every day until they concede and hand over their photo. Then I mostly ignore them unless I'm carrying something I want rid of.

I’ve never been given a photo! Clearly non of my presents have been good enough! I usually give them stupid hats and clothes just so I can see them walking around looking ridiculous! The pear and cherry hats have gone down a storm!

@Natsku good point - I should have said wrapped assessed fossils.

The ACNH.Guide app tells you the favourite colours and styles for each villager and lists their favourite clothing items.

Wrapping absolutely does make a difference. Wrapped fossils have got me photos from everyone so far.

I give wrapped assessed fossils (maybe wrapping them up makes a difference?) and they all really really like them, until we're best friends then I just give whatever junk I find. When someone new moves in I give them some clothes first so they have something else to wear, and a bed if they don't have one (when I gave a bed to Ankha she gave me her picture)

The one that goes to the gym I gave weights to and another only had a sleeping bag in their house so I gave a bed.

We have best friend status now.

Yes!!!!! I have one in particular who always does that!!

And! I made them all lovely grass coats and they wear them all the time but every time one of them leaves, it shows up in lost property the next day! So rude!!!

Love the villager chat. Sprocket was annoying, all he talked about was the gym.

I have Alice who I liked at first but she is getting increasingly irritating and moping around a lot.

Do you guys gift your villagers presents? What works for you?

I was giving assessed fossils but they don’t seem to like those, one called them ‘old dead things’ so I started just selling them.

All they give me are things like wrestling outfits or once a pair of full body tights!? Wtf?!

I might try a bar, it seems quite complex and if that isn’t working fill it full of plants!
Gates are open again for anyone who wants a peek at the obstacle course, and I’ll pay bells for any sort of wood! I hate chopping it
